US increasing military ‘capabilities’ in the Middle East

ASPI’s defence strategy analyst Dr Malcolm Davis says the US is increasing its naval and air “capabilities” in the Middle East.

The Pentagon has recently reported the US military will deploy additional fighters and Navy warships to the Middle East.

The US support comes after the threats from Iran and its allies Hamas and Hezbollah.

  • Great. Let's put a bunch of giant ships over there in the age of hypersonic missiles. Our navy is obsolete. I really hope we aren't forced to find that out the hard way.
  • I built Sub repair facilities and my nephew was chief of the boat on a LA class nuke Sub. Somebody wanted war and 40 years ago and I helped prepare for it. See an aircraft carrier ? Not the FIVE attack Sub escorts.
