Sweet Libby, I'm a professional organiser and work with many clients with ADHD and so on. Hun, i only have one piece of advice, be ruthless, declutter 70-90% of what you have. Here is a helpful example: I saw your box of mugs, you need 4 mugs, 4 glasses, 4 knives, forks, spoon and teaspoons. So double up on the number of people in a living space. So 4 of everything. Two bath towels each. We wear 20% of our clothing so declutter 80%. We all know the clothes we always grab to wear everyday. What you have honestly not used in 6 months donate it. I SO WISH I could be with you, as I just want to jump into the screen and help you downsize considerably more to get to the space of happiness, freedom and lightness. Go minimal and your home will feel so serene and tranquil. You can do it, Libby. Just be like a robot, and donate most of it. It is only stuff. Sentimental items do last and later on okay ;-) Sending much love

Hi, Seasoned Single mom here. At this point I would literally just throw it all to the curb and break away. What's more important you or your stuff??? Remember you only need enough for 2 people. Everything is replaceable your mental health and inner peace is not negotiable. You have a big adjustment to get used to. But it's an amazing journey you can experience with your son and you'll have to go through it to get out of it. Listen to your body. Take it one day at a time. And break it off so you're new life can begin!!😊.

This just proves how important it is to declutter periodically throughout the year and simply stop buying stuff you don't need.

Your positivity is such a big part of who you are. And it keeps you going. Your pleasant nature always shines through, even during times of overwhelm. You face each day with renewed enthusiasm and keeping your sights set on the goal. Moving is arduous. It brings you to your knees. And it's stressful and emotional. One is forced to dig deep. And you have. You have a beautiful soul. I tell myself, I can bend but I won't break. And the whole, what doesn't break me.... Love when your videos pop up. ❤

Your son is being so helpful, when it comes to moving getting kids to help us like pulling teeth, this just goes to show what kind of mom you are and the kind of kid you are raising. And you know sometimes being strong is overrated, sometimes you have to have that cry to make yourself feel better. Good luck to you and your baby in your new place.
  • Just go with the flow of your feelings, it’s completely normal. A relationship ending is exactly the same as the grieving process you just gotta go through it. You will make it through, I broke up with my ex after 22 years and thought the sky was falling in. But it didn’t and here I am, happier than I’ve ever been 😊 take care of you and your boy and reach out when you need to talk to someone ❤

One step at a time. The time stamp on this video is like 6weeks ago. I divorced in '12, leaving with 1/2 of the household goods. I had a list of needs, and another of wants. I hit the free sites, then the second hand market-amazing what you get get for free/low cost. I also moved, first out of the marital home, then 4 times more, finally ending up in what I intend to be my forever home. With each move, I had a pile in the corner of the living room, of stuff that would not cross the threshold of the next home, rather would be dropped off at Goodwill/other charity shop. As I prepared for the next moves, I downsized/decluttered. Life's chapters also find me unloading items no longer needed/wanted, blessing others in the process. I am ruthless, perpetually getting rid of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I am not a minimalist. I have the mindset that if I am not using something, it no longer serves a purpose for me, doesn't fit/match or is in bad condition that I can not repair and/or it's not worth repairing-out it goes. It;s just you and your son in the small appartment. How many plates/mugs/bowls etc do you NEED. Be practical, esp when in a small space. I hope that helps.

You need to be more brutal with keep and donate, etc. You seem to be holding on to a lot of stuff. Sorry, to be blunt. But, I know you are trying your best. Everyone is stressed out. People fall out during house moves for real. Your son is a sweetheart. Good luck. Well done 👏
  • You’re doing a great job and raising a kind helping boy. Pat yourself on the back, it’s not easy

  • You will get through this; I've walked this road in my youth. Stay strong. Oh yeah keep decluttering it will ease your mind when you have less to manage. I had no support system when I divorced you are lucky to have family that is a very good thing.
  • @kandycebeeks7056
I am downsizing and the whole declutter process is just that….a process. I’m trying to not overthink it all. Look at the “stuff”….what do you use and love….let it all go. Less stuff to clean, less stress and less anxiety all the stuff causes. Keep going, you got this!
  • Personal opinion, the reason why thing's changed w/u to all the sudden is he sees that this change has NOT BROKEN YOU !! But if anything g has made you STRONGER !!! You Are Beautiful, Amazing, & you Got This ❤

I’ve been exactly where you are years ago. Don’t beat yourself up for all the emotions you are feeling sweetie. We learn from therapy to not hold in emotions. I was in therapy for almost 15 years. If I lived somewhere other than Kentucky I’d gladly come help you.
