I’m thinking you’re meteor-right about that one. Good score, man. They can’t all be gold.
-
I believe the Boyco barrel markings indicate as follows: 13-30-31 possibly means 13 gauge metal 30 gallon capacity and manufactured in 1931 This looks exactly like a code another company used in the early 1900's
-
Meteorites are known to be high in nickel, cobalt and iridium, making them worth a lot more even as metal, but then, meteorites are just worth a lot of money to collectors, AND universities.
-
Remember, the worst day looking for gold is still better than the best day working.
-
I hope it is a meteorite, they're typically more valuable than gold and man it would be cool to have one in the old collection of rocks.

I think 100% that’s a nickel iron meteorite there’s a collector in Tucson that will pay good money for it (and he can confirm it ) that’s a cool find so no skunk congrats and thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

Obviously that barrel was made on the 30th day of the thirteenth month of 1931;)
-
😂 those dang knee pads can fool ya every time!! Great video Adam, thank you!
-
I needed the laugh! Pretty funny on the knee pad part😜Always a fun watch.
-
I could see building a magnetic rack into a plastic barrel, with the axle being the leading edge of a wagon [make the back wheels pneumatic casters] and drag it behind a 4 wheel drive truck. I know people think the worst of iron, but me, personally, iron is a real thing, and so being able to just roll up tons of free iron to bring to my shop and forge into high quality steel would be well worth it.
-
Might wanna go back and look at that iron you were looking at before. And I would have to say yeah your right she's a metiorite!
-
If you find a meteorite with crystalline structure, you're into money. There's some numpties will pay you more per ounce than gold. Even ones like with iron/nickel composition are a fantastic discovery.
-
If they brought some tallow or lard, they could cook meat, eggs, and flapjacks on that metal stove. [makes me hungry thinking about it]
-
Nice find! I still haven’t wandered over a meteorite yet. One of these days!
-
Take a speck of it and put it into acid. If it comes up with a lot of bluegreen, its possible that will be nickel chloride, or copper chloride. If its just really pale yellow, or pale yellow-green its only iron. If it has copper in it, its likely just decayed chalcopyrite, but if its nickel, its very likely a meteorite.
-
The old tymers where out there in the 80s? 😂 out there blasting def lepord😎 awsome find Adam!
-
Gotta slice it and apply a little acid! Look for that Widmanstätten pattern! 🧐 Cool find!!! ✌🏼☄️💥
-
Great video and great find!

Nice bro! I know there was some rumblings of meteorites being found around Q about 3 years or so ago. I never got to see any of them. Happy to look at it for you. (Thinking mid to end of March we can sync up)

Really cool intro Adam , congrats on the meteorite ! 👍
