I filmed this vid in Manhattan and Queens. At 1:38, that's the Jefferson Market Library. Before 1967, it was a courthouse and a women's prison. Mae West was a prisoner there after her arrest on obscenity charges. She was arrested for her bawdy Broadway show.
Harry K. Thaw's trial took place there. He was the killer in the Girl in the Red Velvet Swing case. That case was part of the subject of E.L Doctorow's book Ragtime.
