Thanks... AGAIN ! After watching your flamethrower build & safety videos last week..... I got over my jealousy, bitterness and ANGER (not at you... at MYSELF for remaining in NJ - LOL) I then proceeded to watch the rest of your videos. I was in the market for a new and affordable DC power supply for field work. I already have an HP (linear) and Rigol (switched) bench supplies, but they are a bit too heavy to bring out in the field for service work. (& most of the work I currently do is 2-way radio / repeater installation/ service / maintenance — and the locations are fairly hostile to delicate equipment. // ex: water tank equipment rooms / high-rise building rooftop elevator mechanical rooms / Etc...) Most of the equipment I work with is 12vdc (13.8) and 24vdc. Most everything (other than transmitters- which can range from 10-30 amps) is low current draw, making this bench supply ideal. The top mounted handle is ideal for field work and the weight is surprisingly light. ** NOTE: The unit arrived from Amazon (yup... someone needs to prevent Bezos and the elite from starving during this tough times) It arrived in a decent size box and was packed well with foam blocks preventing shipping damage. THE UNIT WOULD NOT POWER UP. After playing around for nearly a half hour, I began to troubleshoot in earnest. It turns out the AC power cable was defective.! After purchasing and working with thousands of devices using the same type NEMA 5-15p // c13 cable, I have NEVER actually encountered a bad cable “out of the box”. Just a minor issue, as most of us probably have hundreds of spare cables sitting around. I just wanted to point this out in case anyone else experienced a similar problem when initially powering on the unit. Also... The power supply is fabulous for the price. (a tiny fraction of my older bench supplies.) The only thing I’d recommend—>. BUY BETTER TEST LEADS! (Fluke or equivalent heavy-duty silicone insulation leads with molded banana plugs are fairly inexpensive for something you will be handling on a regular basis) Forgot— I analyzed the power output with an oscilloscope and VNC . It’s quite “clean” for a power supply in this price range. Other than the defective AC Power cable issue and the “cheap as shit” output leads included, there IS one other thing I found to be a minor annoyance. The adjustment knobs are finite and don’t provide nearly the precise adjustment that I am used to. This it’s not a major issue and I’m quite sure most people will not be bothered by it. I just thought I’d mention it. Forgot yet another item: I was always taught to remove the bonding between the chassis (ground) and the negative output terminal of a power supply. As long as the power supply includes a separate “ground“ terminal, eliminating the ground reference to negative provide you with a “floating output”. (%Please do not make this modification unless you are sure it is safe and appropriate for your application.) Anyhow... Thanks again. Thanks...does it have a protective plastic over front faceplate to protect it during shipping. I don't see one on mine? Hence, my plastic faceplate has some light scratches.

has anyone had one of these go sort of dead?, the screen is lit up all 0000s , when i turn it on the fan spins for a few seconds then goes off , although its lit up theres no power coming out .

I dont know if 8 months is enough time to reconfigure the manufacturing process, but my banana clips fit snugly into the ports. You didn't test the 5V 2A output and I wish you would have demonstrated the product in some way.

why does it have the USB port?
