How To Capture The Biggest Yard And Garden Pest!

Publicado 2024-07-09
Every year I have Richardson Ground Squirrels move into my yard. There is all open land behind my house where they tend to live. Ground Squirrels are so cute but they do a lot of damage to properties by digging holes and burrows everywhere plus eating the plants. I use my humane live trap and bait it with apples and peanut butter. Within a few hours I caught him then released it way out in the field. He was covered in Peanut butter by the time I released him and I'm sure he's licking himself contently right now

That's awesome! Martin males have a range of up to 6kms...whete the females stay within a 3km radius. We have to spread the traps far apart to avoid catching the mother..if a mother is caught then I pull the traps in that area. To give you an idea for 150 arces I would only have 9 traps total 3 on every ridge I have. When relocating an animal keep that in mind as I would hate to see you in a pickle😅 I want to do the same with some beavers
