“The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not “the thinker.” The moment you start watching the thinker, a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. You then begin to realize that there is a vast realm of intelligence beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence. You also realize that all the things that truly matter – beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace – arise from beyond the mind. You begin to awaken.” - Eckhart Tolle. Probably my favorite quote of all time. If you enjoyed this video and want to help create more, please consider supporting After Skool on Patreon. Thank you! www.patreon.com/AfterSkool

"Everything in life is easier when you don't concern yourself with what other people are doing." The chances of you seeing this comment is pretty low, but if you did, I hope you have an amazing day. 🖤

This channel has taught me more practical information in the last year than 12 years of general public education ever did.

I clicked on this video thinking it was about narcissistic individuals but it actually ended up blowing my mind

The Buddha sometimes described young people who frequently watched their reflections in ponds and rivers as "intoxicated with youth"

    That's what enlightenment is "You're not a person, you're a moment".

Honestly, I want to personally thank you and everyone who participated in the making of this channel. Ever since I began watching your videos my worldview has been flipped upsidedown in the best possible way. I am normally so anxious and frustrated and foggy-minded but when I watch your videos it is like things become a little clearer. Nothing would make me happier than to learn more from you (and about myself). Please continue to make videos.

Notice how the world is increasingly narcisstic and mask greed with attractive words like ambition, achievement, success, motivation, etc.? The hedonistic wheel keeps going faster and faster as we're programmed to believe we are not enough.
  • About 20 years ago I dropped like 4-5 hits of acid and shed my ego. It was both beautiful and terrifying at once . I realized that I truly am my own worst enemy . It comes back slowly but that's because you do actually need your ego. But be careful not to feed the ego. Just make sure that you're aware of your own ego.

I think it’s fruitless to assess your self worth by the material things you’ve acquired. You don’t own things, the things own you.
  • I recently experienced a “ego death” on shrooms. The first two days were brutal but so far it’s been worth it. I died so this version of me can live. It’s been a amazing journey so far.

This is like 98% of the people on social media. "Look at me, I travel the world, look at my expensive material possessions, and glamorous lifestyle that you all don't have, ect."😆 It's the shallow and child like mentality of the kid with the most toys "wins". Although, a lot of them like to put up a facade, and like to portray themselves in such a way that they have it all to just impress people.😉

At 3:20 this explains how a mid-life crisis occurs. Most working adults had to try to keep food on the table and a roof over thier families head. Once everyone is taken care of and survival is not an issue, the contemplation about what is life, begins.
