The fact that Baldermort has started introducing himself as a servo-skull scribe honestly shows just how brutally realistic lots of 40k fans are about exactly what would happen to them in-universe lol

Imagine being a General of an army for all his experience and knowledge is then challenged by an uber advanced army that you can't even understand. Imagine as a General looking at a single soldier taking your whole army firepower like its nothing, you will feel the dread and death coming your way like a god casting his final judgement upon a sinner. Then that single godlike of a soldier shows you a greater demons of horror that even them struggle to contain. How would a General even process all that without losing some of his sanity? It's freaking overwhelming if you think about it.

The image of a lone marine walking through musket fire is just badass. Well done Baldemort!

Honestly, I feel like if there is ever a situation in which an animation is made that features the voice of Malcador the Sigilite, this is the guy who should do it. Such a fantastic voice for Warhammer 40K.

That young marine story was absolutely amazing. Helping end a slaughter without killing a single "enemy", as a show of strength but also mercy.
  • @FirstLast-cg2nk
I love how the opening is just an Ultramarine taking a carefree stroll up to a general's tent while getting bombarded by muskets and cannon fire to deliver a message. Of course, the message wasn't just "There are monsters out there and we're here to protect you from them", but also "You literally can't do anything to stop one of me, how do you think you'll fare against an army of me?"

This is beautiful, imagine earth being visited by aliens, only to find out those aliens are super humans who have been protecting us from the horrors of the galaxy.
  • @NerdishGeekish
"power armour is fully sealed, protecting the wearer from all biological and/ or chemical threats" Papa Nurgle: "Sure, whatever you say!"
  • @cousinzeke4888
That marine is so level headed and reasonable I question his presence in 40k.
  • I love how Chaos marines often have their power armour fused to their body, so they permanently are in full battle mode. The armour just as "corrupt" as the warrior who wear it.

A very Ultramarine thing to do. World should thank the throne they weren't dealing with any other chapter. That would have ended very differently.
  • This brought tears to my eyes. I can see the Ultramarines doing something like this for a brave and respected people. This is why I like the Ultramarines.

Here we go, a new equipement with dramatic story. I notice something , Baldermort shine the most when he talk the more zealous, insane and dramatic a events or a caracter. I can't forget his comment on the black templar landraider purging the enemy with no crew or support
  • I enjoy the grimdarkness as much as anyone else, but seeing stuff like this really does go a long way in showing how human space marines still are.

'To a Space Marine, his armour is more than just plates of ceramite and fibre-bundle muscles, more than simply what shields him from the bullets and blades of his enemies. The armour becomes part of the warrior who dons it. Heroes have fought the enemies of mankind wearing this armour and upon their death, it is repaired and given to another warrior to fight in the name of the Emperor. Each warrior strives to be worthy of the hero before him and earn his own legend to pass on.' - Brother Captain Uriel Ventris, of the Ultramarines 4 Company 'Four bowed serfs entered the solitorium in silence. Between them they carried Tsu’gan’s power armour. It was his old suit, the one he had worn whilst part of the 3rd. Now its surface was rendered with the swirling iconography of drakes, serpents and flames. It had been meticulously artificed, re-forged and remade into a thing of pure beauty. Far superior to its former incarnation, it was armour worthy of 1st Company, of a Firedrake of Vulkan. First came the black bodyglove, almost invisible against Tsu’gan’s onyx skin. It was overlaid with an exoskeleton that interfaced with the systems of his power amour. Festooned with linking ports and conduit points, it would join him to his suit, enhancing his strength, speed and combat abilities exponentially. Tsu’gan turned his wrists to face the ceiling just before his vambraces were locked in place. He saw the icon of Imaan, he who had died so that Tsu’gan could ascend the ranks. Imaan’s power armour had been smelted down but he had bequeathed his Terminator armour to Tsu’gan after death. The marks upon the Firedrake’s wrists were a reminder of that bond, and that when he wore the suit Imaan’s spirit warred with him. Last of all, after cuirass, greaves and pauldrons, was the long drake cloak that spilled down Tsu’gan’s back around the suit’s generator. So armoured, he felt a semblance of being whole once more. With gauntlets locked about his clenched fists he took chainsword and combi-bolter before assuming his place on a throne of red-veined basalt. The sigil of the Firedrakes was carved into its rough surface. “Vulkan’s fire beats in my breast…” Tsu’gan intoned as Maikar returned and traced a band of white ash from the votive-servitor’s basin on his face, “…with it I shall smite the foes of the Emperor.” Maikar bowed again and retreated. Tsu’gan took his helmet, proffered from the darkness by an armour serf, and slammed it down upon his head...' 'Prebian also hailed from the City of Warrior-Kings. The armour he wore was slightly archaic, one of the Mark V suits created millennia ago but possessed of incredible artifice. In many ways, Prebian was an anachronism too and drew much of his fighting techniques from old tribal methods used by the first Nocturnean chieftains. He carried several blades about his person as if to emphasise his martial prowess. A saw-toothed spatha was strapped to his leg and a shorter gladius was scabbarded next to his left hip. On the opposite side was a holstered melta-pistol. Prebian’s bolter, racked next to his armour’s power generator on his back, completed the deadly ensemble.' 'They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed...' - The Emperor of Mankind

The introductory story had me picturing scenes like The Patriot combined with the YouTube Astartes videos. Well done!
  • Video: "...it's time to fight, for all humanity." Baldemort: "Welcome gentle listener..." Me: Hold up, finish the epic story!
  • Ahhh. Hot tea, cookie and Boldemorts' vid after long day of work. Thats the life.
