What brandon was talking about was correct in definition but he used the wrong term. They arent first responders they are "mandatory reporters" similar to therapists.
  • @cocowhite2854
not applying sunscreen on little children is NONSENSEEEE
  • @larrackell
The dad in the second story is not even close to being TA. She potentially endangered his children and he had every right to tell her how he felt about it.
  • I definitely read the last story as more malicious, I mean seriously they know what they are doing. Making the kids sit separately in the sun until they burn?!? And then doubling down??? Unhinged
  • 2nd story...sharing someone's personal information without permission has LITERALLY gotten people killed. I also have a feeling that if it was a male teacher outing a single mother of 3 there would've been a very different response. She can handle a couple of curse words for her complete stupidity 🙄
  • I hate how common the last story is. My daughters are multi-racial. Her first year at school, a staff member at school (not her teacher) told her she ‘Didn’t need sunscreen because she was a little brown girl.’ Excuse me, what?
  • That second teacher is WAY out of line for sharing children's names and parent's phone numbers. That is crossing a major line. Being a young teacher isn't an excuse - coming from a young teacher.
  • For the second story, I think the father's comment about her not mattering in a few months might mean school will be out and Mrs F won't be the kid's teacher any more.
  • Its super racist and THEN the people are treating mom like she is crazy when this is so glaringly obviously racist
  • As a childcare provider and a former daycare worker in the Midwest, the last story was WILD to me. I would’ve been a teacher telling that mom to call the news and make a TikTok and Facebook reel and all the things with my name co-signing because hell to the no.
  • When I worked at a daycare, we had a chart next to a thermometer on the window, and if the temperature was that a certain degrees the chart will tell you how long the children could stay outside and if it was over a certain temperature, we couldn’t even take the kids outside. Also, our play areas had shade screens, so the kids could hang out in the shade when needed.
  • okay, 2nd story is 1000000% illegal. And the reporter should have known that. I'm currently in college as a communications major (specifically journalism). One of the first things we talked about in my Intro to Comm course was about private information and privacy laws. A journalist is supposed to get information like this from an official source, such as the Communications Coordinator at the school. The teacher is not only in hot water for giving out the info, but the reporter is in trouble as well for asking for the information to begin with.

SMBC doesn’t mean men don’t matter. It could be they are aesexual or uninteresting in a partner. Intentionally going into single parenthood is a lot better than accidentally doing it. You can build your community and you aren’t carrying your hurt about a failed relationship. Granted if you can have a successful two parent household is preferable, but in this world unrealistic as over 50% of marriages end in divorce and not all parents coparent well or at all.

Mandatory reporting is for minors in schools. Not her sharing his personal information, which was inappropriate and out of line. He didn’t need to curse her out, but I probably would have too if someone came at me sideways. She should have asked him before giving out his information… but he’s only a little bit of an asshole. Other mandatory reports are priests, daycare providers, and therapists.
  • Nah they dead wrong in the daycare story and show their ignorance. Yes we have melanin BUT we still have skin. We are humans and they don't see it that just cuz our skin is brown doesn't mean we are invincible. Def NTA they are segregating the kids based on skin even if they don't see it that way
  • “youʼre not the asshole, youʼre a criminal” hahaha
  • @ErieRosewood
the one guy, I know no ones names, saying first responders instead of mandatory reporters had me giggling a little. I'm imagining a teacher showing up to save a burning house.
  • Holy shit that 3rd story is so awful. Fuck man, the fact that they doubled down on their stance so many times. They should be out of business. Blast that shit to the news! I know when I taught preschool we were required by law to provide sunscreen to ALL children. And they couldn't spend more than like 15 minutes in direct sunlight in the heat.
  • The sunscreen one is CRAZY. That lady is on a serious power trip.
  • In 2nd story, his ending line was saying she wouldn't matter in a few months is probably because the school year is ending soon.
