Just wondering, why do the oil tankers or oil companies not have any team for this? It's always the government/civilians who're trying to clean their mess

I feel for you brothers .. respect Australian fisherman .

I don’t see them doing nothing. Where are the divers? Where is the siphon ship? The spill is definitely worse than what the coast guards are saying. Keep up the clean up work.

Is this ship one of the Russian shadow fleet that smuggles oil without any insurance?

And just 4 days ago (25 Jun 24), there was an oil spill in nearby Singapore. It came from a Netherlands registered ship. 400 ton of oil spilled into the sea.
  • ”sealed 14 of the valves, including those that were not leaking.” That doesn’t say much. How many valves are there total? How many are/were leaking?

the worst thing is not just a single tanker sank, there is also another sunkern tanker near bataan
  • @sanjuansteve
Adding more chemicals to ''break up'' the oil and so not have to clean it up is THE OPPOSITE of a good solution!!

We need to use less oil. It's problem after problem.

Natural crude oil isn't that bad unless it's been refined and heavy metal added. If it's natural crude then it should biodegrade in short period
