Okay. Think BBC's Not The Nine O'clock News adapted for American audiences and it's actually closer to the BBC version than the US format we all know and love.

This is the one that got NNTN on the air, from September 1982!

Out of the 5 cast members in this, only 3 moved on to the actual series: Anne Bloom, Rich Hall and Audrie Neenan. Tom Koenig and Sam MacMurray did not make the cut, despite doing a great job in this.
