THIS is the type of video that you can turn on and let play in the background while you are working on a task. This is like his Firearm Facts collection. These are great. Thank you.
  • @rvfa3541
thank you eric for this kind of video, ive been a gun owner for about almost 2 years but i am part of a younger generation also a family that didn’t believe in firearms in the home. i had no one to teach me stuff like this. i appreciate you putting in the time for this video so i can learn to properly clean my new firearms
  • @tbone9903
my dude, you are so good at keeping the inexperienced viewers on your mind. it is so easy to take your own knowledge for granted and forget that other people arent on the same level. quality lessons on this channel.
  • Ive been a shooter and gun collector for 35yrs so I have my own way. If you shoot long enough everyone will have their own way of doing things, but that said this video is great for beginners. And we all know the best thing to do is educate all new shooters in the basics, maintenance and most importantly safety. Nice job Eric keep it up!
  • @akadotslash
I love cleaning guns. I even clean the guns that we hand out to people in our club (club owned guns). Make the experience better for the members.
  • I watched 4 cleaning videos before this one and was left with so many questions. You managed to answer just about every single question I had left. Thank you for the attention to detail
  • Took classes on material sciences. Even with a electric drill and trying to damage the crown, gas port, rifling, etc. brass brushes and rods wont. Check out some videos. Brass is going to have a really hard time damaging hardened steel… and think about firing a brass projectile, squeezing it and sealing it under molten gases… you dont have to baby your barrel…
  • @cokedaz
I literally only just spray ballistol on it all and wipe it with a cloth, and put a nylon brush or bore snake down the barrel, and if I am feeling saucy, put a patch down it, but really thats it, and I know a lot of people that never clean their guns, especially .22LRs.
  • I'm lucky my kids ask me every day hey do you have a gun to clean! They love everything about them. We are blessed!
  • Another thing I do when disassembling a firearm that has small screws, pins, springs, scope mounting screws is have a magnet handy to keep the little parts located. I also use tooth brushes and pipe cleaners.
  • @bhoward9378
This is OG IV8888 content, the kind that made the channel what it is today. More of this, please (and maybe some melt downs)!
  • @leederby136
I’m glad we have a hands on gun video! I look back to previous videos with disassembling guns for refererence and would love to see more 😊. Thank you.
  • @Wondrrboy
I put on gloves and run the bore brush back and forth too. Thx the video, learned a few things about my cleaning kit was wondering about
  • I use blue shop towls cut in peices instead of patches. Also do the same thing with patch on the bore brush instead of mop.
  • @clifffree8721
I just really appreciate how you make your discussions down to earth and understandable. I always love looking at your new videos. Keep it up.
  • @mke259
Wash your hands with cold water when done shooting/cleaning. Warm/Hot water opens your pores.
  • @nmr6988
Can never get too much gun maintenance.
  • @2aadam232
Love it! Veteran (no pun intended) channel but glad to see you're helping out all these new gun onwers
  • Thank's for doing This! Just as a reminder to keep our firearms in good order 👍 appreciate it!
