"Art is meant to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed" - Jake Gyllenhaal's father Brilliantly said.

I think we can all agree that Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the most underrated actors working today and should have received an Oscar a long time ago...

There are two types of people after watching Donnie Darko: - doesn’t think much about it and goes on with their life - becomes mega fan of the movie and won’t ever stop talking about it

Brokeback Mountain has some of the best acting i have ever seen. I literally just watched it for the first time. I'm so sad.
  • Jake Gyllenhaal looks and sounds like simultaneously the most happy and sad person ever at the same time.

I hate when they don't do these in chronological order.
  • I loved him in Nightcrawler when he said "it's me, I'm the Nightcrawler!". Truly one of the moments in film history.

Brokeback Mountain had so many jokes made about it, the movie itself kind of became a joke, which is a real shame, because it's one of the most compelling, heartbreaking and tragic love stories in Hollywood cinema, imo.
  • @WhiteGhanaian
Shows how incredible he is as an actor when you don’t have time to talk about Source Code, Prisoners, Zodiac, Nocturnal Animals, Jarhead etc
  • @arkoudiou
I wish Heath was alive to talk to us about his moments and breakdown his iconic characters...
  • @Cypher-X5
Really think people are under-appreciating his role as Billy Hope in Southpaw... Incredible performance
  • @K3VINM
Seeing him talk in this interview makes wonder if he’s a quiet shy professor, or a confident outgoing womanizer.
  • @jchambo86
How in the world is Prisoners not on this list...
  • @riverevergreene
"YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKASS!" "I've admired her since I was born."
  • Jake Gyllenhaal is a man that makes me question my heterosexuality. He's just looks so perfect.
  • I think Donnie Darko is such a stand out because the acting all around seems very real (compared to other Hollywood films), even with the premise of the movie being supernatural.
  • @blakeschmitz972
You know his career is godlike when they didn't even talk about Jarhead, Zodiac, Prisoners, Source Code, Nocturnal Animals, and many others
  • @bigj2105
I like how he is an actor before he’s a celebrity , where as most actors these days just seem in it for the fame. You can tell he truly loves what he does.

I watched Donnie Darko recently. I didn’t know the siblings were actually related in real life, but already felt the dynamic between the characters was very real and brilliant. it was a great surprise to find out the truth
