Lewis fell in love with this 1925 Spanish Mediterranean home instantly in 2021, and purchased it sight unseen. During the renovation process, Miller was inspired by the timeless allure of Hemingway's aesthetic. His vision for the space was centered on curating a harmonious blend of classic allure and whimsical charm. From rich mustard yellows to warm tobacco browns, the palette exudes a refined masculinity while embracing a playful spirit of color and pattern. Prepare to become charmed by the stories woven into every detail, as bold patterns dance alongside delicate blooms to create an atmosphere that is both inviting and inspiring.

Lewis Miller Design is a floral and event designer with offices based in New York and Palm Beach. Lewis is the mastermind behind FLOWER FLASH, series of pop-up street installations throughout New York City created for the sole purpose of sparking joy.

  • I have watched virtually every HOMEWORTHY YouTube, and I must say this beautiful little home is one of the most interesting, well-curated, screaming with personality I’ve ever seen. Such a welcomed departure from the run of the mill Florida house we usually see. Thank you, Lewis, for sharing this gem.
  • Love everything about him! Dog lover, plant lover, intelligent, creative. He is truly such a special person.

I've always been a fan of the old Florida aesthetic since spending time at my grandparents' home in Lake Worth in the sixties. When Lewis mentioned his guest cottages, I immediately began to hope for a sequel tour of those too at some point.
  • Lewis Miller is not only a talented floral designer, but a home "designer " as well...his NY home is just as charming, and I could listen to his stories all day.

Now that’s what I call style. It’s got the quirks, it’s got the old world feeling, the flow of the rooms & the furniture & art so well mixed together. Beautiful but not pretentious like some immaculate homes one sees all fluffed up but has no soul. This is a real home. So unpretentious with the owner’s individual tastes not borrowed from some glossy magazine. The kitchen is to die for. I’d happily cook in that kitchen. Just love the home.
  • I love his old school beach shack "painted floor" Hemingway mentality.
  • What a lovely man! His home is a perfect reflection of who he is and what he loves. Thank you, Lewis!
  • Not only is his home beautiful, but Lewis seems like a genuinely wonderful and interesting person! I really enjoyed this tour!
  • Loved it all. But really would have loved to see your yard and cottages. Maybe another video ?
  • Okay, 3rd time through...I will watch this video and take notes many more times. Lewis could walk out the front door & I could walk in and change nothing. This is near enough perfect to be ideal. An absolutely beautiful home. The colors are exquisite. What a talent! Dream big & stay home. Thank you, Lewis and thank you, Homeworthy. It's been a privilege to see this.

As a modernist, I usually enjoy spending my free time rolling my eyes at the maximalist, "eclectic mix" that most traditional designers create. However, this man is a genius, a true genius!... the sense of place (classic Florida without the kitch), the sense of history, the visual hierarchy, the classic yet unusual color landscape, the textures, the emotional tone, etc, are all a true inspiration. I'll say it again: this man is a true design genius. Thank you so much for sharing! All the best from Mid Century Modern Los Angeles!
  • "Why go big when you can go home..." Great visit with Lewis Miller. Lessons for all of us.
  • Every Homeworthy segment is a gem…thank you Allyson for being in our worlds! 💚

Quiet, Peaceful, Relaxing with Whimsical touches. LOVE IT!

One of my most favorite homes I’ve seen featured on any platform. Old world Florida meets modern world perfection. Every color and texture is so well thought out that it actually looks like a collected home not a designed home. There is a beauty to purposeful living and decorating that is sadly being lost in todays rush paced world. This home is a perfect example of what to do to live purposefully! Thank you for sharing!!
  • The house is perfect and the reason being is because of the owner with his sweet little dogs. Love it all! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
  • @marinacam
This is so special — one of the BEST Homeworthy featured homes. Exquisite. Artful. Super good taste. Yet comfortable. ❤️❤️❤️

I just love that he took inspiration from the Ernest Hemingway era Florida to create this beautiful and unique home. It's such a breath of fresh air from the usual coastal decor. As others have already said, it's so well-curated and creative, and the little touches of whimsy are charming. And did anyone else notice that the colour of his shirt perfectly matches the colour of his eyes.
  • When I saw the preview from my home state, with such a warm house, which isn't typical of the cold looking Florida home, I immediately loved it
