THANK YOU FOR NOT PAUSING during the solo!!!!! You get an A!
  • You don't just listen to Pink Floyd. You feel Pink Floyd !!!
  • @cdf3073
And there you have it, the best guitar solo of all time.
  • I'm a 68 year old aging hippie. I stumbled on your videos quite by accident. It is SOO freaking wonderful for me to see younger people learning about old school rock. I grew up with these guys, and I love seeing a new generation appreciating them. Thanks for this reaction! And thanks for letting the solo play all the way to the end.

All the years humans have been around and we were lucky enough to be alive when this masterpiece was made.
  • I'm getting ready to turn 66 years old and been listening to Pink Floyd since 68 and can tell you this song still gives me chills and brings a tear to my eyes
  • I am 72. I am so glad to see the younger genrations discovering Pink Floyd. Enjoy the ride.

Someone once said the genius of David Gilmour is his ability to play the notes you didn't know you needed to hear until you hear him play them. I agree completely. And it's very odd: he somehow manages to make each note sound both fresh and inevitable at the same time. That's musicianship of a very high order indeed. Rare.
  • I cry every time I hear this version of the song. — and that means hundreds of times. Gilmour makes his guitar cry out; wail; moan. It moves me soooo much.

This has my favorite guitar solo. It's not flashy, but it's all soul.
  • I was fortunate enough to be in the audience to witness this - can’t believe it is nearly 30 years ago - still remember it so clearly - without doubt the greatest concert i have ever been to. Another amazing thing was they played the whole of Dark Side of the Moon .
  • @HarryDeano
Probably the most motionless audience ever, that's because they're either in tears or their jaws are on the floor, absolute masterclass!
  • My late father took me to one of these residency gigs at Earls Court when I was 14. He didn’t cry at all in his life until this solo came on.
  • Pink Floyd have some of the best light and laser shows, ever. I was lucky to see them in concert many years ago.

A Pink Floyd concert was not only what a rock and roll show should be, It's a life changing experience.

Watching you smile from ear to ear enjoying Pink Floyd said it all! When you can & you're alone grab you headphones, kick back and listen to the whole studio album "The Dark Side of the Moon"! You won't regret it! Enjoy! For your future vides live is always the way to go. imho
  • This brought tears to my eyes. I don't know how many times I rolled my eyes growing up having to watch this concert with my dad. Now that he's gone, I watch it every few months.
  • @Eric-Thomure
The studio version of that second solo is, in my opinion, the most perfectly crafted solo ever put on tape. And then to be creative enough, and talented enough to keep the pieces in tact and make it that much better live is just...well, it's perfection.
