It is said that the more you learn, the less you know. However according to Mikhail Varshavski, also known as the social media star "Doctor Mike", we have too many people who believe they know it all -- also referred to as "I Know All" (IKA) experts. In his passionate talk, Doctor Mike asks us to celebrate doctors who are self-aware and say "I don't know". He also draws the importance on asking the right questions and being aware of medical research limitations and conclusions. Dr. Mikhail Varshavski D.O., is a New York-based doctor focusing on family and preventative medicine. Better known as "Doctor Mike", he is a social media entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a doctor with purpose, stressing the importance of preventative medicine by highlighting his experiences through his unique journey. Doctor Mike started documenting his medical journey through his popular social media platforms to motivate students to pursue their medical training. Doctor Mike graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 2014 with a B.S in Life Sciences and a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine via an accelerated 7-year track. On June 30, 2017, he completed his 3-year Family Medicine Residency at the Atlantic Health System-Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. He is far batter at public speaking than his YouTube channel let’s on. He used many story telling and debate tactics. He’s an amazing public speaker and makes very clear points. This Ted talk only made me respect him more

What I love about Dr. Mike is the fact that he practices what he preaches. If anyone watches his videos, when he doesn't know something he will outright tell his audience that he doesn't know. He will always whip out his cellphone to check Google to look up the answer. His curiosity to know is what makes him a great practitioner.

Doctor Mike is an ideal youth, an example for young citizens. He is a doctor, who studied and worked hard to build his career. He took care of his mother in her last days and still takes care of his father. He motivates people to be fit and achieve goals through consistent hard work. Also, he is a very ethical man. I hope I am able to imbibe some of his qualities in my own life. I wish him well. More power to him.
