Pictures from the assassination attempt on former President Trump are going around the world - but will all this attention result in an election win for him? The attack at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday underscored the nation's deeply fractured political landscape ahead of the Nov. 5 election between Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden. The former president walked into the Republican National Convention to a loud response, his ear heavily bandaged from having been grazed by a bullet, hours after he was officially nominated to be the party's 2024 standard-bearer.

Biden, who has portrayed Trump as a threat to US democracy, condemned the shooting and urged Americans to rely on the ballot box, not violence, to resolve their differences. Authorities were still trying to identify a motive for the
shooting, after the gunman was killed by the US Secret Service.

What did Donald Trump mean when he talked about a 'bloodbath' if he loses from Joe Biden?

When Americans are talking about the economy being in bad shape. It’s not the political rhetoric that we are attached to. It’s the fact that inflation happened over the last four years and the majority of Americans had all their expenses go up. In 2020 if you made 55,000 you now have to make 67,000 to afford the same lifestyle. Most people didn’t get a 12,000 raise and yet the bills all went up as if they did. Yes inflation has slowed and basically stopped but since our salaries haven’t kept up it’s incredibly tough to survive. Housing and groceries are the majority of those expenses. Additionally the job market is very hard right now so those seeking more money by switching jobs cannot find anything either so we get stuck in this situation where living off credit cards hoping for something to happen is the normal.

Did you notice that the Republicans' loyalty to their leader resembles a cult of personality?
  • Wrong about donation , that was someone else with the same name, I guess you just repeat what ever you hear.
  • when the democrats choose a new candidate it will change the game of the election completely. (Joe has to step down...). The Republican convention is unimpressive--very cartoonish.
