This was honestly the best thing Disney has made all year

Finally it’s worth mentioning that for the CG characters from DINOSAUR, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, and Bolt which came out before Tangled CG animators had to rebuild the character models from scratch due to updates made to animation technology made over the years, with rigging and rendering being reworked so that they could be used with modern technology. Even you can notice the updated details and textures for the Characters from Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, and Bolt from the feathers, fur, skin and clothing.
  • Cinderella making her appearance in the short on the same floor as Walt’s portrait is also symbolic cuz Walt’s favorite piece of animation was Cinderella’s dress transformation sequence plus her movie helped saved the company from bankruptcy as well. Also to add to it they used her original silver dress color from the 1950 movie as opposed to the blue color they market her in. There was just so much symbolism directed at Walt within that short minute of the short between Mickey and Cinderella.

I don't agree with everything Disney does. But this is by far one of the best things they've ever done. It truly feels like 100 years of animated movies was leading to this moment.

I was so surprised to see Oswald being honored along with the crowd.

The Dog riding with Vanelope is Dodger. Oliver is the kitten from Oliver & company. That icon for the restroom looks more like Pocahontas in her disney princess redesign. Thank you so much for IDing that yellow character that first flies by Olaf. That was the only cameo to stump me. You see bruno behind Pacha

The fact we see Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Meet the Robinsons and Bolt in this is really nice fan service indeed.

Ok but can we take a moment to appreciate how even the "boxoffice flops" and short characters got a cameo? I so not expected the headless rider from the sleepy hollow short to have a cameo of the crew from Bolt and Oliver and Company. They could've easily scrapped those and I assume most wouldn't have noticed them missing. This really feels like something someone put heart and love into be it just that little cameos of the very old and older characters like Bambi, Pooh, Mickey and his friends and so on. I mean the included even Oswald? just love it 10/10

Perhaps my most favorite shot is the one where Snow White and Asha hold hands. It’s absolutely beautiful seeing the protagonist of the oldest Disney feature film with the newest. Past and present.

In case the vast MAJORITY weren’t aware, and continue to ask and bombard with "Where’s Pixar?" Where’s Marvel?", Where’s Star Wars?", "Where’s the Disney Television Animation characters?", "Where’s the 20th Century characters?" etc. etc… this short is mainly dedicated and ONLY features the Disney characters that appeared in productions and developed from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Bruno from Encanto is actually peeking over another character's shoulder in the group photo but I almost thought you were going to not mention him intentionally because "we don't talk about Bruno" 😂 Also, I was so so excited to see Susie the little Blue Coupe. I didn't know many characters named Susie growing up and being a Suzi myself I watched that cartoon so much! It's quite a sad cartoon though

I saw this short yesterday on ABC and seeing all 400-500+ of our favorite Disney characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios that we grew up with, really brought me in tears and a good celebration of 100 years of Disney. Literally we haven’t had a Disney crossover like this since the Kingdom Hearts series and especially House of Mouse. Basically, this short is literally the Smash Bros. Ultimate ("Everyone is Here") of Disney crossovers. Honestly, I’m dying to see a House of Mouse reboot animated series with this cast of Disney characters and having the same or similar animation style utilized here.

It is so satisfying as a Gen Z-er to see all these nostalgic characters from the early 2000s again. Seriously, who ever expected would we see characters from Home on the Range, Dinosaur, and Meet the Robinsons again?
  • @Jet_Set_Sonic
The fact that this is a pure Disney characters crossover is greatful. Like, They could have overloaded this short even more by putting characters from Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar and taking advantage of the popularity of their IP's. But no, they really paid tribute to their name, and the name of their founder. Happy 100th anniversary, Disney. You have always been my favorite production house, and despite your not so good state at present, I will not doubt that you still have your magic in there.
  • @Xerruy
I was very happy with Aladar’s inclusion in the group shot. Dinosaur is one of my favorite Disney films of all time and it’s sort of been forgotten
  • @benmalsky9834
This short was a true labor of love from everyone at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
  • @histrion2
One of my favorite hidden details is that when Olaf is sketching, the book on the chair that he's sitting on to give himself some extra height is "The Illusion of Life" by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, sometimes called the Disney animation Bible.
  • Just watched, “Once Upon a Studio” and there is a scene where Mickey is looking at a picture of Walt and feeling melancholy. In the background they are playing, “Feed the Birds” from Mary Poppins. I am a 44 year old man and I shed a tear watching this scene.
  • @SnobbyBird_
The fact that they brought in meet the Robinsons and treasure planet again is absolutely incredible
