One of my favorite fan theories is that the Tyranids are actually a last vengeance of the Old Ones who just before they became extinct created a race to wipe the galactic slate clean.
  • "The Deceiver" was originally called The Messenger. The name of deceiver was given after the betrayal.

I love that the evil robot zombies are the most emotionally driven faction. It's just neat.

God Emperor: I am the greatest and most tragic leader to ever live! Silent King: laughs in 60million year penance after condemning race.
  • @Coyotebriggs
My theory why the orks aren't as strong is because there was NEVER a battle as big as The War in Heaven
  • @slashermas
Let’s also not forget the time the Silent King got an audience with Dante, current chapter master of the Blood Angels Space Marine chapter... WEARING THE FACE OF SANGUINIUS, their primarch, and got away from their wrath.

Something to add about the Old Ones is the reason they didn’t give the Necrons immortality. The Necrons had become petty, spiteful, and were generally complete evil pricks to everything, so the Old Ones feared what they would be capable of if they were immortal.

So, from someone who's trying to self introduce to 40k, this is what I get from Necrons, regarding their interactions with other factions: "GIT OFF ME LAWN!!!" metallic rattling spooky noises (also intense coughing)
  • @fnglert
"I don't see this ending well for the Necrontyr" - well, this is 40k, that's kind of a given.
  • Heres a fun story from the 7th edition Codex that I love. So a bunch of Tau were just getting BODIED by the Tyranids, like just getting massacred. Entire planet they were defending was over run when suddenly, a necron warship appeared in the sky. Tau thought they were double fucked, but the Necrons that attacked actually worked WITH the Tau, fighting back the Tyranids and destroying them. Then the Necrons their left without another word, the Tau none the wiser that they were saved by Szaerek himself.

Awwww Briky did not tell him about the Celestial Array! That's the scariest part of the Necrons
  • Fun fact: The female equivalent of a Phaeron, military leader, is Phaerakh who are rare, one of the known Phaerakhs loyal to the Silent King is the Mother of Oblivion, leader of the Maynarkh Dynasty
  • @Duzon1602
Its amazing how necrontier could trap a god on the mortal plane with fucking living metal, but cancer? Nah mate, thats way toooo high tech... thats demi god shit u know. Never change 40k •-•
  • @StriderMack
I guess you'd say the Necrons are pretty *metal*! I'm not sorry.
  • @dhamon45
"Just enslave them and make them do our bidding." - The Silent King aka Robot Schindler
  • fun fact, forerunners from halo are technically the eldar equivilent, there are an even older race of beings called the Precursors who were responsible for seeding life in the Milky Way Galaxy.
  • @euychua
This always makes me think what a "War in heaven" game will be like. And seeing models for pre slanesh Eldar. Krorks and Necrontyrs
  • Necrons are just so badass and it just shows how much a threat the tyranids are that the god killers are Like O FUCK
  • @cdemmm
How this reached my suggested videos is beyond me, but I love your delivery of the lore I'm wanting to get more into
