Eine anspruchsvolle Wanderung in der Felsregion des Monte Baldo. Der Monte-Baldo-Kamm dominiert nicht nur aufgrund seiner Länge von 30 Kilometern das alpine Geschehen am Gardasee in der Region Trentino-Südtirol, auch die Höhe der zahlreichen, wenngleich wenig ausgeprägten Einzelgipfel, ist beeindruckend. Mit 2.218 m ist die Cima di Valdritta mit ihrem Felsgipfel die absolute Spitze; sie ist jedoch nicht der höchste Gipfel in den Gardaseebergen, dieses Attribut gehört der Cima Cadria im Westen des Gebirges.
Ich musste lange auf dieses Gipfelkreuz warten, denn 2018 wollte ich schon mal zum Cima Valdritta und musste kurz vor dem Ziel wegen eines aufziehenden Gewitters umkehren. Schweren Herzens brach ich die Tour damals kurz vor dem Gipfelkreuz ab, nun endlich konnte ich den höchsten Monte Baldo-Gipfel doch noch erklimmen, was für eine Freude :)

A challenging hike in the rocky region of Monte Baldo. The Monte Baldo ridge not only dominates the alpine scenery on Lake Garda in the Trentino-Alto Adige region due to its length of 30 kilometres, the height of the numerous, albeit less pronounced, individual peaks is also impressive. At 2,218 metres, the Cima di Valdritta with its rocky summit is the absolute peak; however, it is not the highest peak in the Lake Garda mountains, this attribute belongs to the Cima Cadria in the west of the mountain range.
I had to wait a long time for this summit cross, as I had wanted to reach Cima Valdritta a few years ago and had to turn back shortly before reaching my destination due to an approaching thunderstorm. It was with a heavy heart that I cancelled the tour shortly before the summit cross, but now I was finally able to climb the highest Monte Baldo summit after all, what a joy :)

Great that I could also walk with you virtually this way. It is also super that you did make it to the top with the beautiful cross that welcomes you.
