Purifying your food purifies your memory . When your memory is purified , your consciousness is purified. When the consciousness is purified , all the blessings of life are showered on you. ― Adi Shankara

Do not be proud of wealth, people, relations and friends, or youth. All these are snatched by time in the blink of an eye. Giving up this illusory world, know and attain the Supreme. - Adi Shankara
  • Maharshi Ved Vyas is the greatest intellectual and author of India and the world.

Do believers of Advaita have to disown VARNASHRAM?

Shoma had not even finished the introduction and I had pressed like..... Happens all the time😊

These people talk and write about the great teacher Adi Shankaracharya... goodness gracious me...! Using the english language and its vocabulary to expostulate about the avatar purush who we as Advaithic shaivites follow is pitiable... - politicians like pavan varma talk about HIM... he is only using repetitive bombast to drive his point... No wonder the Sharadha math in the north is lying in ruins in Pak occupied kashmir... and no one even bothers to talk about it...

you should not use the word 'died' with Adi Sankaracharya, He attained immortality while still in body.
  • Denial of Saguna Brahman by Mayavaadins who say that Nirguna Brahman is the only reality is non sense and had been refuted by Madhwa Acharya.
  • Shoma uses the opportunity on the stage to take a cheap shpot at PM Modi. Shameless!
  • Where does this 5000 years come from? Most historians place Vedic civilization around 1500BCE. So it was 3500 years ago not 5K years ago. Shankaracharya lived in the 9th century CE. That is 800s.
  • Adi Shankaracharya was not a thinker. He was a practitioner. I won't read this book.

Nonsense, Shankara was just a commentator, he was not a thinker in any sense of the term, Buddha was a real thinker. Indian Philosophy is the only tradition in the world that values commentators over actual original philosophers. Very sad.
