Scan for your target from right to left instead of left to right. Think like you are reading, our brains are used to skim reading left to right. If you go right to left it's less familiar to your eyes & brain, you'll be more alert & cognitive of what you're looking at & the target might stick out more. Whereas if you quickly scan left to right, you're used to doing that & you might look past something. This is taught in the military, I learned it from other DayZ PvP videos.

Most anticipated content on YT right now 😍
  • Hell yea! My dude cam is starting a new generation of dayz players. Im gonna say it everytime this guy is the best person to watch if your starting out the detail he goes into really helps with your thought process while playing this game

"visual cover vs physical cover" is referred to as concealment vs cover
  • Yoo bro , started playing DAYZ a month ago and had absolutely no idea how to play it, I tried for a few days and was abt to give up but came across your vidoes, I've watched all of yours guides and im pretty good in it. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
  • Have a smg or assault rifle as your primary weapon , something that shots a lot , fast and at short\ mid range always in your hands. If you use a silenced pistol or a sniper rifle, switch back to the primary when you're done. If you run into somebody by surprise, the winner will be the one who shoots first with the most firepower, the other will start again at the coast.

And again Cam drops invaluable knowledge and experience. Thanks man. I’m trying more pvp servers now. I’m still terrible at it but I’m trying to get better.

I started playing DayZ long before the standalone version, so I wasn't expecting anything new when I clicked on this video. Well, I stand corrected! Props to you man! This is a great guide, with really insightful ideas!
  • yep, best tip is the MK2. a beginner gets so few chances to actually practice gunplay and its aspects.. and then when its often over so fast. u dont get enuf muscle memory. the MK2 lets u practice a bunch.(as well as soo good for zombie clearing of course)

That last section on jiggle peeks was real useful. it was something i sorta understood but it was good to hear it explained like that. great for a lot of fps games. another thing with jiggle peeking is you can bring yourself back from the wall you are behind; means you have to move a larger distance to peek the same amount of degrees, so that means you can peek more efficiently and accurately as you have a wider margin to move within.
  • @ededdneddyyy
My brother it's called concealment not visual cover.
  • @julius6107
I remember when I was new at this game , there were like 0 videos like this , well said brother

With all due respect, the video sounds like you’re preaching fundamentals of irl tactics. Which is awesome to see in a video game. Shoot, move, and communicate. Cover vs concealment. Linear danger zones. 5,25,50,200 m scans. General recon Etc.
  • @Ben-zr4ho
3:50 This is a subtle but good point... People do this in all games but especially DayZ . Keep your cross hairs at chest level.
  • @matthewg8922
Watching live and loving all the great advice! Thanks Killer Cam!!
  • @MR-PMB77

  • @johnmako4692
Cam I’ve been watching a lot of your vids and I’ve learned a lot from you explaining things out one by one, especially the vids where you’re talking real fast, and the camera is going fast around the map, and it stops at the character 🤣🤣 but you definitely helped me out and made me a better player, I’m trying to get hours like you, thank you!
  • @Simontoth71
Great to see vetrans wanting to help out new people. I've always been average at PvP, but this has helped tremendously. Thank you.
