SHIFTING BOWL, woodturning

Publicado 2023-08-05
Welcome to my YouTube channel, in this week's video I tried to make a bowl using a method that I had never done before, namely, making the crook shift, meaning that the small wooden planks were stacked and then turned and then shifted so that they were far apart, then on turning again into a bowl, for finishing I use natural oil, I hope you are entertained by watching my video and I hope this video can be useful for many people

You are not a woodturner.. you're a magician! I really love your stuff! Thanks for sharing.
  • The planning that goes into each step of your process speaks volumes of how good of an artisan you actually are.

Really imaginative. I’m not a woodworker, but I looked at the picture and really wanted to see how that was done. Did not disappoint. Excellent work!

My jaw dropped when you separated the pieces. That was ingenious! Thank you for sharing this beautiful work of art, "bowl" doesn't quite do it justice

Beautiful piece. I saw the thumbnail and couldn't figure out how it's done, so I just had to see it :)

You have inspired me to make something I never even thought about. I spent the entire video thinking about how I would alter the design. Well there goes my weekend.

Another lovely and intricately constructed project. It looks retro, reminiscent of a period before the fifties, sort of an art deco piece. Thanks for showing your industry.

Fantastic! I love the illusion it creates of two bowls that could suddenly separate. Just a little push! A wonderful concept, executed perfectly!
  • excelente trabajo, la verdad que me asombo cada vez que veo tus videos, y lo especial que es hacer trabajos artesanales, saludos desde Córdoba Argentina.

Thinking to myself how does he get from the perfectly round to the slatted round shape ... then realised that at no point did I see him glue the pieces together, apart from the block board on top/bottom ... what an ingenious method 😁 I feel as though I repeat myself over and over again, your imagination and craftsmanship seems to know no bounds ... every single piece seems to be unique and you do this every week ... just incredible ... it is a pleasure to watch someone like yourself work 👍

Aside from the knot and bumps, that is a dope bowl.
