Der Wasserfall Cascada del Ézaro liegt am kleinen Dorf O Ézaro (südlich von Dumbría) in der Region Galizien-Pontevedra, Spanien. Vom Hafen aus haben Sie einen tollen Blick auf den Wasserfall, aber es gibt auch einen Weg, der auf Holzbrücken direkt bis zum Cascada del Ézaro führt.
Der Rio Xallas ist der einzige Fluss in Europa, der sich über Wasserfälle über dem Meeresspiegel seinen Weg in den Ozean sucht. Man kann die Besichtigung des Wasserfalls sehr gut mit in eine Wanderroute am Monte Pindo einbauen. An manchen Tagen im Jahr ist der Wasserfall mit Nachtbeleuchtung zu genießen.

Der Monte Pindo befindet sich zwischen Cee und Carnota etwas südlich des Endes der berühmt und berüchtigten Costa de Muerte (Küste des Todes). Von vielen wird er auch als der Olymp der Kelten bezeichnet. Sein Name wird ebenfalls auf die keltische Sprache zurückgeführt die ihn „Binn Dubh“ (dunkler Hügel) nannten. Direkt am Atlantik gelegen schaut er auf diesen hinaus aus einer Höhe von 627 Metern. Um auf diesen höchsten Punkt zu kommen, gibt es verschiedene Routen, die alle ihr Ende dort oben auf der Spitze des Berges finden. Er bietet eine Vielzahl an prächtigen Ausblicken. Das Dorf, das zu seinen Füssen liegt, nennt sich ebenfalls Pindo.
Oben am Stausee auf meiner Wanderung sammelt sich Wasser aus mehreren Flüssen und kleinen Bächen und diese verbinden sich in einem Reservoir namens Encoro de Santa Uxía. Der Vorratsbehälter dient zur Stromerzeugung. Der Fluss Xallas schlängelt sich von der Staumauer bis zum 40 m tief herabstürzenden Wasserfall und fließt von dort aus direkt in den Altantischen Ozean.

The Cascada del Ézaro waterfall is located in the small village of O Ézaro (south of Dumbría) in the Galicia-Pontevedra region, Spain. From the port you have a great view of the waterfall, but there is also a path that leads directly to Cascada del Ézaro on wooden bridges.
The Rio Xallas is the only river in Europe to find its way into the ocean via waterfalls above sea level. You can also visit the waterfall very well in a hiking trail at Monte Pindo. On some days of the year the waterfall can be enjoyed with night lighting.

Liebe Angela! Wie kann ich nur meine Begeisterung (und Rührung) in Worte fassen? Dein Video ist wie ein wunderbares Geschenk an uns, die die Natur und schöne Landschaften lieben, aber es nicht schaffen, dorthin zu kommen, wohin du uns wieder einmal behutsam und liebevoll "entführt" hast. Deine fantastische Kameraführung, die sanften Übergänge, das Verweilen an besonders schönen Stellen und die wunderbare Musik erzeugen das Gefühl, als ob wir direkt an deiner Seite sind und all diese "Naturwunder" anschauen und genießen dürfen. Ja, es ist wieder ein Hochgenuss, was du uns hier zeigst; eine Gegend, die schöner nicht sein kann, verschont vom Getrampel und Geschrei der "Massen", die diese herrliche Landschaft - noch! - nicht entdeckt haben. Ich kann gar nicht alles einzeln aufführen, was mir gefallen hat, was du an "Motiven" entdeckt und mit - wie ich lese, mit einfachem Equipment ! - festgehalten hast. Da lacht das Herz des Fotografen!
