All these years later and Derek still doesnt have a cameraman. Thats what i love about this channel it doesnt get any more real then this. Ive been here since the beginning spray painting the harley in a two car garage and ill be here until one of us is ten toes up. Keep it up Derek you're awesome!

This has Mr Dylan McCool all over it! Here a guy is on a Friday night laying in a hospital bed, going to have colon surgery number 3 soon. And all a guy has been looking forward to was a VGG video to help relax and enjoy my time before surgery. Thank you Derek.

I love that he helped some lady who had an issue. She was fortunate to have wandered into that abandoned gas station.
  • Derek is the only person on youtube i ever see replying to his fans. What a good wholesome fella!!
  • The crazier this world gets the more I appreciate the former days and vehicles. Love the simplicity of this truck. Great upload Derek.
  • 6:52 That was a mockingbird you were yelling at! Don't get mad at him. He's just happy singing his little heart out!

Please never stop making videos. This channel is the only thing that has ever gotten me into fixing and maintaining my own vehicles. So much so that I just purchased an OBS Chevy 2500 to tinker with and continue learning. On top of all of the knowledge you give me, your videos are the only thing that can help get me to sleep at night. I found this channel after my dad sent me a few of your videos while I was deployed. It didn’t take long before they were my sole source of entertainment while I was gone and continue to be a ritual at home. After the ole’ beater truck gets some love, I’d love to get my late grandpa’s 77 Trans Am running and driving again with my dad as soon as I can find the time and money to do so. After over a decade of sitting in an Alabama driveway, it deserves some love. Thank you for the countless hours of entertainment. This is by far the best car channel on the internet.

You just can’t lose with this guy. So many channels go sour after a few years but these just get better with time. My kids have kinda grown up watching over the past few years and my girlfriend and her 8 year old son now watch with me if we have an evening free. Thanks Derek, we really enjoy the content.

That gas station was hit by a tornado I can’t remember how long it’s been, last time I stopped at that store was probably 5yrs ago, my dad lives about 20 minutes from there

Going under the car with just the Jack and no stands gives me anxiety. I love it!

A guy singing Pink Floyd while doing a revival is the best thing I've heard all week feller❤❤❤
  • Always remember the old mechanical fan is dual purpose. Not only does it help keep the power barn in an HVAC mode but it’s mainly there to dry out all the fluids that spray all over the engine area.
  • This is probably the only channel I can watch 100% through and not skip any parts. Pure entertainment and teaching too. Just got my merch delivered today. Keep up the great work!
  • Hand's down the best YouTube creator out there. Can never thank this man enough for the hours and hours of entertainment and the knowledge he's given all of us. Thank you.

My father had this same truck. Painted many houses with him out of that truck. That's the thing with these old vehicles...the memories they dig out of our minds that make them cool.😊

Man.. I'd love to meet the Hardass who bought a custom Dodge and said no to a radio.. he was like "No thank you. The sound of my farm animals is all I need in my heart.".
  • The early hood cam view looks like you're driving a pasture with a ram in it. Another brilliant revival, Derek. Thank you so much for all you do for us followers, truly inspirational. Huge respect from the British Island.

I scored an 1984 d250 my buddy found sitting out in a pasture by him in north texas 10 years ago. It had set for 6 years they said. I needed a truck and my buddy knew those old dodges were my bread and butter. So he didnt even ask me, he just bought it and brought it to me, asked that i give him his 450$ back he paid. A lil cleaning, and another 400$ worth of parts and i have the truck im still driving today 10 years later. I love those old dodges. Mine had 82,000 on the odometer and i believe it had not rolled over as the smog pumps, and emmission hoses were still present and functioning. It now has 121,000 miles on it and has taken me back and forth faithfully many times for crewchange between nacogdoches texas, houston texas, new orleans, and baton rouge. Only let me down once when the factory 1984 alternator give up in baton rouge. Still got me home with an800watt generator running an old school battery charger.
