  • This is such a great interview! The two of you are really honest with each other while always being respectful. It feels so much more like a real conversation than most interviews you see these days. This is easily my favorite channel!
  • Scott Adkins really has not just the acting chops and looks, but also the skill to be Batman.
  • Scott Adkins deserves so much more. He looks way better than 99 percent of the actors in Hollywood and he is extremely skillful.
  • As a Brit myself - I always admire Scott's understated, calm, polite demeanor. For me - that's the quintessence of British culture. Reserved, polite, but strong and intelligent. Great interview!
  • @Bodlasona
He said it right .Van Damme s movies were and still are a huge motivation way back when we are kids and today as well
  • Scott Adkins is such an overlooked gem within action genre. Hollywood should really pay more attention to him.
  • A lot of people compare Scott Adkins to Van Damme, but I've always viewed him as being much more similar to Gary Daniels. In many, many ways I feel like Gary Daniels was the 1990s prototype Adkins. He was another guy with amazing acrobatic martial arts, a badass persona, a cool accent, and almost superhuman stamina who made incredible movies on a shoestring budget.
  • This guy has been behind the scenes on every bad ass action film of the past 20 years... Marvel, DC, you name it. Deserves to be a superstar.
  • Talking about realism... Fast & Furious came to my mind, it's crazy how much the franchise has changed since the second installment. I mean, I love sci-fi but when it comes to action and martial arts, the old fashion way is the best, less cgi, less green screen and less shaky camera. That's why a lot of us appreciate Scott's movies.
  • I like the ending with Scott saying how he wont let his audience down..No matter what..thats pretty good and shows he does care enough to try and give people what they want if even just a little..
  • @RacerX888
JCVD was and is a great martial artist/actor and his movies are a lot of fun to watch. Scott's abilities are at another level entirely and there are few action stars in the past that could touch him for his skill level and he is an excellent actor as well. I think the only reason he is not more well known is that martial arts movies are not as big box office draws as they were in the past.
  • I was a huge Van Damme fan as a kid as well and Scott is definitely the closest thing out there to "The next Van Damme" in my book. I think he could have been as big as Van Damme we just aren't in that same era it's a lot harder to reach that level these days but Scott is definitely filling that role IMO, and seems like such a nice, easy to get along with individual. A credit to true martial artists when these days there are too many disgraces running around. Ninja & Ninja II are right up there with Kickboxer in my books and of course who can forget the world's most complete fighter Boyka!! Thanks for a great interview with a true legend!
  • @Jaimo78
Van Damme came at a time when martial art movies were booming. If Scott was around then performing choreography like he did in films like undisputed 3 & 4, he would of cleaned up!
  • Love Scott Adkins- what a wonderful interview. I wish he'd get some greater attention by the movie industry. He's an undeniable talent. Such a gentleman too.
  • @cowlico
Scott Adkins is so underrated, he deserves way more!!
  • Scott Adkins deserves a LOT MORE recognition and fame. He is damn good..
  • Scott Adkins is always so respectful & humble, especially regarding the old school iconic action stars. It was enjoyable hearing both of your perspectives & respect towards each other. Awesome interview!
  • @dragondon
Scott Adkins is a great martial artist who also happens to be a very talented Actor and skilled Film Fighter. He definitely knows the difference between "Self Defense" and "cinematic" techniques. I am very confident that he could defend himself in any "real life" situation. He has the skills and character to be successful in any confrontation. I was a Pro Kickboxer for 28 years and I know a "real" fighter when I see him! Great interview!
  • I love that Scott is an action connoisseur/historian. You can tell how much love and respect he has for Jackie, Jet, Donnie, and Tony.
