for those wondering what the person over the speaker was saying, “we would like to advise those shopping with us now once again, do not attempt to reach the exits. either find a safe area or go into one of the many evacuation shelters inside the-”

When I was a child, lying in the bed, I loved imagining being trapped in a huge shopping mall after it's closed, and thinking about where should I hide to protect myself from the ghosts wandering there at midnight. THIS gives me a strong sense of nostalgia. An experience I've never had yet I missed a lot😭I just can't stop myself repeating it again and again! Thanks for the wonderful work!!!

One of the scariest things I've ever watched (I'm 69yrs old) - made the mistake of watching in bed, lights out, before falling asleep...
  • This was absolutely terrifying. Incredible work. The tools around the exit door was a sign that there was no escape, as other wonderers would have tried to use such tools to exit. The fact that trying to exit the shopping mall of this level leads to the release of the entity was smartly done. 10/10!

As someone who used to work at a grocery store...one that is never ending is pure nightmare fuel

As someone who's worked in a grocery store, this would be my version of Hell.

Four months ago I came across this video for the first time. It is the reason why I decided to learn 3D software and animation. I thought "what the hell, what's my excuse? Why am I not making this myself?" After all I'm a smart guy and I want to make people feel the way i just felt with this video. Long story short, I already have two AMAZING "maps" for backrooms videos that I hope I can publish soon (an epic rendition of lv.94 and a never before animated negative level)... I just have to get some animation stuff right :) Thanks for the endless inspiration, and for helping me fight my laziness and learn something beautiful.

Damn. A level of the backrooms with infinite food and drinks. Now this is the kind of the level that i want to be trapped in. Except the fact that i will be screwed if i try to breack free from it, this level is kinda nice to me.

This brings me back to how vast and sprawling a space like a mall or grocery store can be when you're a child. I also like how the "entrance/exit portion played out. Superb content!

Before the place gets dark and the entity appears, this video reminds me of late 2000s supermarket trips at night and it gives this sense of long lost nostalgia.
  • @FreezinUrTundra
3:10 He didn't get the hint of what happened to the other people who ended up there that tried to leave, and by force at that. You think the dried blood would've been the big hint to them...

As a manager at Kroger, the truly terrifying thing about this video is imagining trying to keep a store this size fully stocked and straightened. 😮

I'm not sure as to exactly why, but the fullness of the shelves instills an eerie mix of both comfort and fear unto me. The ending of this video is a perfect example of the phrase "don't bite the hand which feeds you" (pun intended). It's a shame the wanderer made such an absurd decision, given the amount of forensic evidence there was near the "exit". Overall, the video is amazingly produced!

When the lights went out, first thing i would've done is hide behind that counter just to his left. Standing out in the open in the middle of complete darkness was really dumb
  • @RedBounty
This is truly remarkable work, bravo. I just discovered this genre that basically recreates my dreams. Nothing this scary but the walking around malls, strange buildings, and offices. The idea that so many people share these visions, dreams, and nightmares is incredible to me.

Imagine if instead of just falling into the backrooms, this person was just shopping in a store and went into an isle that had an invisible portal in mid air. They unknowingly walk through the portal and all the voices of other shoppers in the background go silent, only the music playing on the speaker remains. They notice the sudden silence of all the people and run out only to find the entire store has become empty and infinity vast. It's like that feeling of getting lost in the store as a little kid but times 100.
  • I had a nightmare like this years ago. The products all had gibberish names. And the worst part seemed to be if you tried to interact with any food or drink it would instantly descend into rapid entropy. Like a time lapse speeded up the item would molder and spoil. Oh and in the same nightmare there was a feeling you weren't alone in there and something was 'playing' with you.

There are worse places to be trapped than a fully-stocked, fully-lit, infinite grocery store... as long as the lights don't go out and you aren't chased by a large screaming monster intent on eating you instead of the tasty sweet pastries in aisle 5,256,732.
  • @somebody4763
This level would initially be a blessing because of all the food and drinks, but slowly, like any other level of the Backrooms, you would go crazy from the lack of other people and the constantly playing music and bright lights. Plus the fact that no matter how far you walk you'll never find the exit, and when you do find an "exit" like this guy did, it's either accepting that you'll never get out of here or trying to escape that sets this thing loose. And then run for your life hoping that there is a hiding place or a secret exit has opened. The screams are perfect by the way, super realistic. You just hear the pure madness, fear and despair.
