Learn how to make miniature books, magazines, an open book, a CD, filler books for shelves and other clutter for ultimate realism. No printer needed.

I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.

Oh and one more comment... Like the person below my comment I appreciate the fact that you gave us ways to make the little books without having access to a computer and printer.
  • I love your creativity and imagination with miniatures! Too many miniaturists over use 3D printers or wood laser printers, and don’t create art the way you do. Thank you for sharing your creative ideas with us!

Wow this one was really really helpful! I appreciate it and can't wait to give it a try!

OMG you crack me up. "Now I'm psycho analyzing myself....." too funny! I love all these techniques. Think I need to go "rescue" the paper bags in my recycle bin before they get hauled to the street...

I have made miniature books, I thought they all needed a spine and flip through paper even the ones that are smaller than a dime (American dime) This is so much so better, I even made an open book, so fun. I love the post-it note idea 🤗🤗🤗♥️♥️

This was great...I never thought of a catalogue... I have saved this post so I can watch again.

Joel 2006! I’m weak! You crack me up! Lol! Great tips! The cd was so cute! I’m a huge reader so the little novels were my favorite. You’re so creative!
  • Ooo I love the way you separated the layers of mat-board and added in the book marks, great technique 😊
  • I love making books. I will be adding your ideas and suggestions to mine. I never used the board but will. I keep stacks of old magazines and when bored or between projects I cut some up and am ready. I will be making some CD's and DVDs I have lots of mat board (I used to do my own framing). Thanks you have tweaked the gray cells

I looove these. Your extra touches, like the "post its" and dog ears of the pages! Girl, you are inspiring!🙌🏾🤗❤️

Thank you so much for doing this tutorial! I'm obsessed with making tiny books at the moment and will be doing at least two library mini book nooks (one in a mint tin and one in an actual old book). I want a variety of books with different sizes and covers, so I will definitely be using your magazine cutout and faux leather techniques here. I've also used Mod Podged fabric scraps for some covers. I made two CD cases and a vinyl record sleeve based on your CD here too. 😃

This is so soothing to watch. I'm watching this on my downtime and almost had a whiplash because I fell asleep in my office chair. 😅
  • I love using the thicker catalogs/magazines for books, I have tons of them ready to be covered. I do use the mags with staples but only cut where the staple is so it looks like a magazine and the pages stay together with that staple. Live the idea for the DC's, so cute.
  • The amount of effort and details you add to your projects ready sell the realism.
