If you are wondering why the evolution ends at V1.1, it is because Pocket Edition was renamed to simply Minecraft and was referred to as Bedrock Edition.

Its so sad that children today will not have the experience we had as a kid. It was a blast living in the golden age of minecraft. 2011-2013
  • I remember these old Minecraft PE versions, especially where the world is limited. I used to build 1 block tower to its maximum height after what I was walking around this invisible wall. I miss these simple and careless times.😢❤

5:13 Man, 0.5.0 was the version I started playing Minecraft PE. I was 13 years old, I didn’t have my own PC nor a PC that could run Minecraft very well. I remember playing this on my Grandpa’s Kindle Fire while he was at work. I had such amazing memories building houses, discovering Minecraft PE YouTubers, countless laughs playing local multiplayer with my friends. 11 years later and multiple versions of Minecraft later, I’m still playing Minecraft at the age of 24. I now play Minecraft Bedrock on my PS5 and the similarities between Bedrock and OG Pocket Edition is very nostalgic to me and I’m glad I found this game. This game has gotten me through so much and still continues to get me through life. Definitely a top 5 favorite game of all time. ❤️

It's hard to remember exactly what version I started playing, but I know for sure I played before the end was introduced. I still remember when they introduced different colored beds and glass and I thought it was the coolest update ever!

0.9.0 or 0.8.0 was the version I started playing when I was around 6 or 7 and the mcpe community at the time was way different than it is today. The nostalgia I get from old mcpe videos on how to crouch without the crouch button (since the crouch button wasn’t added yet) and making campfires out of boats and a torch. These early versions of mcpe are in my opinion the best to start mcpe with since every new update after it felt like it was slowly catching up to Java and a better and newer experience.

Man i wish i could recuperate my world from the 0.5/0.6 version! Iconic, had so many unique features and the limited world was actually fun. Miss the old days

Pocket Edition was my first Minecraft experience. I believe I started playing on 0.11. Such nostalgia.

I remember I first played MCPE on version 0.2.1/0.2.3 and I used to be hyped when a new update came. Especially when new items and mechanics were introduced. Good times.

Man pocket edition history is almost unknown. I know most of it because I started in pe alpha 0.8.1 and Man I will enjoy talking about it for anyone, I also miss the bugs from old pe versions that become features but removed these days for "parity"

You know you're OG when you remember them adding food

Awesome video! I miss when the game was called Pocket Edition not Bedrock.

I remember making caves for zombies and skeletons because there weren't any caves back then and I one time I swore I saw a zombie punching a stone block to make it bigger, I have no idea what I've seen

I remember playing MC Java in 2012 and then having my pc stuffed in boxes due to moving and familiar issues. While I was having a hard time to adapt I came across minecraft PE thanks to a cousin who also loved to see Minecraft's gameplay, we were so close to each other after that point because we spent days of 2014-15 together playing with friends in local worlds, beautiful memories, even if the game didn't had a lot of things back in 0.7.0 and 0.8.0 we the players, had fun bonding with each other Those versions also teached me how to login and register in external servers haha, lifeboat was the only server available. Gold times

Early minecraft PE was such a fun experience for how early stage it was. I remember i had the “stonecutter” before it was fully added and implemented on all platforms, and that you had to dig straight down to mine because there was just no mines yet either. Bedrock could also be broken in creative and youd just fall thru the world into the void. 1st house i built was a ugly dirt house in the side of a mountain which i planted flowers in the walls

I started playing on 0.7, such nostalgia from the LBSG servers. Met so many souls. I’ll never forget them!
