The Crossbow was added after I made this video, it can be found here on The Forest Map theforestmap.com/#1269.0,1546.2 You will need the rebreather to get this one, it is in one of the new under the sea caves, it is VERY EASY to get. There are no enemies though there is a shark nearby, just stay clear of it (you can see the icon of it on The Forest Map). Review of Crossbow: It is a great weapon that uses bolts as ammunition (can be found in the under sea caves), it does a lot of damage and the bolt shoot with great speed making headshots quite easy. It does take awhile to reload and is quite similar to the flintlock pistol. Though the bolts can be recovered. The bolts cannot be crafted and you can only carry 10 of them, don't waste your bolts. Its very good at taking down big mutants too.

I get so freaked out to leave my tree house I never get anything done lmao you're a god
  • @nahzmii9765
I wasted two Molotov’s on an armzy I forgot to light them
  • @DangerIsSweet
Hopefully they add an explosives bag so we can carry more dynamite and circuit board bombs
  • Farket you just put so much knowledge in the side commentary, plus unique cave routes that are not simply the easiest way in to a single objective. This is probably my best "run" video you've ever made man! woot

I've owned the Forest since 2015, and never really looked into the locations of the decent weapons. I stopped playing this game when I realized how many bugs it actually has. When I heard about the full release I was excited to give it another shot. Now that I'm actually interested in investing my time into this game, I find myself looking at your old videos to help me learn more and more about the game, there's just so much. I was pleasantly surprised by this video, because I have been watching tons of your older videos during the past few weeks to help me progress further. I love how not only you give content and tips on what the actual video is titled, but you never fail to include as much information about the game as possible. From someone who would've labeled them self a "newbie" at this game 2 weeks ago, your videos are EXTREMELY helpful to get used to this game & also not be so intimated by it. The first video I watched from you was the one about getting the Katana and Modern axe in 4 minutes. I was captured by the editing and humor as I was expecting it to be a typical tutorial video, but instead was charming with the commentary/ Map editing/ jokes/ Music. You are probably the best game tutorial commentator I've seen because you don't add in much filler/irrelevant content. A lot of videos like this tend to add in unnecessary content or annoying commentary that makes the video painful to watch. Your videos give tons of info, cut out the annoying bits (Climbing up huge ropes/ speed up walking), the editing with the provided maps and precise locations, aren't painfully annoying to watch, and overall VERY entertaining and helpful. I usually don't write comments, but I really want to give you credit for the unique work you do. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers or views considering how many people play The Forest. Anyways, this video was really good despite how long it is. Now instead of being completely clueless and scared about finding these weapons, I'm excited to go in game and find them myself :). I'm definitely a new subscriber and really look forward to new videos giving more insight into this game.

35:35 you can farm bullets in this spot using the squeeze space because it resets the cave whenever you go through it
  • @bass8385
Even though I already know to get all these weapons, I still absolutely love watching your videos! Keep up the great work man!

Fire upgrades for rock might be for the catapult but I haven’t tested

There's so much content in this game now, cheers for making this, it probably took a long time

I got this game for Christmas from a mate, been watching all your videos to get more knowledge on it. Thanks for all the helpful tips and tricks.

I use land marks when I am navigating, it can help prevent you getting lost. The brightness effect I use at night time and in caves isn’t working anymore, the games darkness has increased ALOT. This video was improvised, same with the route I took. Though it turned out to be a fairly good. This would be an annoying run to do without console commands, you’ll run out out of stamina about 200 times. I made two mistakes, the weak spear can take feathers AND teeth upgrades. Also the Australia at the end, it should of been Australian. Leave a like if you enjoyed this video or found it helpful. Cheers

Here's a tip, when you're exploring caves, change the color on your settings to m131 or darkblue, theyre the best for caves, most of the time you dont neel a light source to see, which is good if youre trying to go past sleeping cannibals or sneaking around mutants.

Got into this game recently. Watched a few of your videos but this one especially. Just want to say that I super appreciate these. Your video of beating the game without eating/drinking was hilarious too! Thanks, Farket <3
  • 26:25 when I noticed that the location he was at was exactly where my base is I realized why I’ve been having such a hard time surviving...

Thanks for taking the time to make these great videos :)

Hey Farket. I love your Videos and watched so many of them. What I'm missing a bit is an ultimate combat type of video. Like blocking an enemy to push them away, damage of an arrow headshot, which upgrades to do to make a certain weapon fast enough to keep an enemy in "stun lock", how many spears must be thrown to kill an enemy. Or how to fight mutans and does it make sense to get to a close combat with them at all. Such things in a combat guide but as I know you from the videos I think I don't have to tell you how deep a combat video can be because you do a wonderful job in explaining even the percentages and stuff. Keep up you great work! Cheers.
