  • Thanks Toni. I’ve never been a granny square fan because it brings back my memories of my grandmothers toilet paper and tissue holders-everything in her house was a granny square. 😂 As much as I loved my grandmother the overwhelming amount of granny squares was crazy. HOWEVER I love the new modern looking squares. They’re textured and so versatile. Definitely will try these!!! Thanks!!!

You are an excellent teacher! I have to admit, I have never been a granny square fan, but then again only knew about the 1st one. I am self taught and have been crocheting for 57 years! 😊
  • @roryjtalk9183
Since I started crocheting a year ago every time I saw a solid granny square I’d think “huh I should watch a video to learn how to do that!” and today is the day!! I always learn something new watching your videos! 🩷

I'm not a "classic" granny fan or the textured/motif types but I do love the solid granny and the C2C granny. Keep it simple and I'm happier with the look :). Thanks, Toni!
  • Awesome!!! Thank you so much. C2C was difficult to visualize for me but you nailed it is this video.

Omg omg omg. Your magic ring technique is genius! I'm teaching some middle schoolers crochet and they've all been struggling with this but I think your method is going to help SO much. Thank you for sharing!
  • @jeanhattingh4754
Since I descovered you on YouTube I fell hopelessly in love with Granny Squares. Thank you
  • @Skip-Towne
I've halfheartedly tried to crochet in the past - I can knit but for some reason I find crochet difficult to wrap my head around, but recently I've been slowly going through your beginner crochet tutorials and they've been a huge help. I'm still struggling a bit, but I'm doing much better than my previous attempts! Thank you for these videos. Hopefully I can try the ones in this video soon!

Hi, Toni! Would you consider maybe doing a little short explaining why it matters which way we turn our work and how to do it correctly? I've heard it's important (something about which side the yarn ends up on?) but am never sure if I'm doing it the "right" way. (And is it different for in the round vs. flat?) As always, loved this video, you're a great teacher!
  • I adore your tutorials and the granny squares learning different ways to make items can't wait to make the shawl
  • @ellendamsky2055
Thanks! This video is so helpful and your work is beautiful.
  • @AriaGemin1
Toni’s always reading my mind. I was just looking into different granny square motifs (especially the solid)! Love and appreciate you Toni, no one explains as well as you do
  • @JRo605
Thanks for a great tutorial. I really like how you start the round in the corner & end in the corner. Very clean and balanced square. Saved in my "crochet" folder!!

Hi Toni❤, I loved this video and all the granny’s. I am a big lover of granny squares. I recently came back to crocheting after many years away. This time I’m so into it. I’m amazed at all the stitches I learned already. And I pretty well mastered the regular granny square. I was never able to get even close to a granny square so I’m thrilled. I’m in awe of the never ending granny squares. It mind boggling 😂. I like the corner to corner but have been afraid of it. You made me feel like I CAN DO IT! So I’m going to give it a shot. Thank you Toni for all your enthusiasm and fun tutorials. 🧶🧶🧶
  • @gaylelazarus2394

You are so good!! I LOVE watching you crochet! Your tension is so perfect, you’re fast and an excellent teacher. Thank you so much! I got my yarn winder that you demonstrated and I love it. I am relearning how to crochet as it’s been about 40-45 years since my last project, yikes! Thanks for your videos. You’re the best!!

I love granny squares! My husband even likes them. I decided on my color palette a couple months ago, but could not decide on a pattern. So I asked hubby to help me decide. Out of the options I gave him, he chose your granny square on the bias! I'm so excited for the new year.
