  • I just got one last week and I will say that I'm happy with mine. For being as small as it is, it's pretty useful. Like Armed Defender said though, sharpen the knife up and it'll be a good tool.

Been using a Dime and a Victorinox Farmer for a couple of years as my multitools when hiking and there's enough tool options between those two for most needs. Nice and light too. Would have seriously considered this Vise if I'd known about it before I'd purchased the Dime. Good stuff!

I haven't tried the Gerber Vise yet, but after watching videos about it, I'm considering picking one up as a temporary replacement for my Dime. Still, in my heart, the Leatherman Squirt PS4 holds the crown for the best mini multitool. Its unique metal file feature is unmatched by any other tool I've used. I'm eagerly awaiting the day they (hopefully) bring the PS4 back; it's the ultimate mini multitool for me!

I have a couple of the larger Leatherman but I never carry them. I carry a Gerber dime in my pocket. It's surprising how handy those little pliers can be.
  • These keychain multitools are the best option for a minimalist EDC. The full size ones makes the best option for a no compromise EDC. The thing I like the most is that they are so small that if you deploy it to cut something when you are out in the street people around don't even realize that you just deployed a knife. Have done that before inside crowded places without any problem.

I keep this exact tool in my gun cleaning kit. Comes in handy for popping out those lcp/kel tec take-down pins.

💥😎I was just thinking about getting a mini multi 4 my key chain! In case I run out & 4get my EDC👍🇺🇸
  • I have this GERBER VISE and it's OK but the tools are hard to open. Get the NEXTOOL MINI SAILOR it's a much better (mini multitool.)
  • "Geardoes.." That's funny.. Comparing the cost of something to the price of a commonly ordered meal is a pretty smart way to convey the true value of something you actually need. I mean, can we really, truly validate the substantive cost of most fast food orders and six dollar coffee..?! That crap adds up, in time.. I am also guilty of not carrying a multitool, but I do try to keep one close to where I think it will be the handiest - glovebox, junk drawer, etc. The best multitool is still not even half as good as the "proper" tool.. It's just handier than the "best" tool that isn't immediately available.. Not to be a wet blanket trying to stifle your creativity but I like your content just the way you have it right now. Change it too much and you risk turning into one of the many channels that have failed and been quickly forgotten over the past few years. Value based budgets have to be more sensible now than they have ever been before.
