  • Hi there Carter can’t wait to try this. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you and learning from you. I have been fully bed ridden from depression for the past four years but am trying to rejoin the living. So far I have canned your black bean soup, your baked beans, vegetable soup and refried bean mix all-using the presto electric canner. I have so many of your recipes on my list. Thank you so much for sharing!
  • Thank you for all that you do, I get refreshed watching your videos

Carter this sounds fabulous, thanks so much. And thanks for naming the book the recipe comes from, that is always so helpful for people like myself that like to have multiple sources in which to pull recipes from. ❤ Have a great week!
  • That's a wonderful cookbook for canning! All per USDA guidelines and thoroughly tested! And the front of the book said all recipes were tested for pH. I'd been wanting to try this recipe so I'm glad you did.
  • @Lalec122
Yum yum yum! I love every twist and your creativity 💜
  • It does look delicious. Easy and water bath. Thanks Carter. Have a great week.
  • Carter, another great, tempting recipe! I’m so glad to see a non-vinegar recipe and will be going to get some lime juice asap. Thanks again for something new and tempting!
  • I havent done any sauces yet , still on the soups and stews, love your instructions and care that goes into each recipe, stay safe and well .
  • That salsa sounds like it would be good with lime flavored tortilla chips...my new obsession! I'd have to tone down the heat a lot! My husband likes a little heat, but not the kind that makes it so you can't taste your food. 🥵 Your husband probably LOVED the heat! Thanks for another great video!
  • Wow that looks yummy I am going to try this recipe I love lime juice more than vinegar so this would suit me better. My jalapeños are extra hot this year too wonder why that is. My first batch of salsa was too hot for me I had to give them away
  • Thanks for another great recipe Carter, I am still on the fence on getting another canner but I keep thinking on it. Love the video ❤
  • Will definitely try, love lime....also, if you haven't tried red vinegar as the acid, you should. I used Ball's Spicy Tomato Salsa recipe with a few tweaks
  • That looks good. I can't take much heat, so I'd have to use fewer jalapeños. If it's too hot for you, you vould add it to taco meat or any Mexican dish for a little "ummph."
  • Hi Carter this one is on my list to can! I tried the tiki masala recipe in the ain’t your mamas canning book and I added 1 tsp of heaped smoked paprika, 1 heaped tsp of turmeric, 1 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder 2 tsp of cumin and 1 more of salt. The flavor profile is very good. Looking forward to adding it to sautéed chicken in the near further.🎉❤
  • Hi Carter! I had to come inside as it is extremely hot here in B C Canada. When your eyelashes start to sweat that is a good sign right there. Oh 100% leave the char on. Flavor plus right there. Like a nice steak on charcoal briquettes. This recipe looks divine. This would be great on scrambled eggs in a wrap for breakfast. Cheers

The salsa looks great, although I will make mine mild for sure. Lol, I like just very little heat. Sadly, my tomatoes are not doing well this season. I don't know if it's just been so hot or what. I've watered them and fertilized them, so I'm puzzled. I planted all San Marzano tomatoes. Thank goodness our growing season is a couple more months, and I get enough to make some salsa. I do still have the tomatoes in my freezer, lol. I may use them. Your tomatoes looked great! Thank you again!
  • Could you replace a water bath canner with a steam canner?
  • Maybe the jalapenos are so hot because the weather has been so hot. Salsa looks good though.
