An All-Time Rivalry between Michael Jordan, and Isiah Thomas began in MJ's rookie year, soon turning into a Bulls vs Pistons rivalry, and this beef has continued ever since.

And even to this day the two "hate" eachother. But why?

The Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls once had one of the most bitter rivalries in all of sports. The two teams were led by two fierce competitors in Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas, and their rivalry has not dulled over the years.

7:58 you conveniently left put the reason the Pistons didn’t shake hands. Between games 3 and 4, Bulls players badmouthed the Pistons in the press.
  • They both at fault two highly successful blk men with immense talent competiveness and a leader of Era of testosterone

Impossible shot to guard @4:06 dang!! Isiah even at his size really new how to score even with all those big guys around the paint, crazy stuff..
  • Isiah told the Detroit Pistons who got swept in the Eastern Conference Finals by the Chicago Bulls to just follow him to the changeroom showing poor sportsmanship and forget about shaking their hands.

Thomas chose to sacrifice his points to build s championship, strategically focusing on making his teammates ready for the playoffs even if it meant regular season losses.

This crap happened when I was in diapers let it go guys 😂

Jordan got the crap kicked out of him for two years, and still shook hands in the bulls losses
  • For three years in a row the Pistons with their dirty, dangerous, and illegal intentional fouls (most of which would have been classified as flagrant fouls a couple years later) eliminate the Bulls in a way that I would consider cheating because the fouls were so cheap and some were actual assaults (like from Laimbeer). And each time no matter how bitter the loses were Jordan and the Bulls shook all of the Pistons hands. And then when the Pistons lost and like a bunch of babies they disrespected the Bulls and didn't shake their hands led by Thomas (he wasn't in front but he was the captain and it has been said it was his idea) (only Dumars and Sally shook the Bulls hands). Years later, Thomas said, "well if I had known we would be so heavily criticized I would have shook their hands." Huh? You don't shake the other teams hands so you don't get criticized -- you shake their hands because it's the right thing to do (and because they shook your hands 3 year in a row. Inexcusable puck behavior -- in other words Jordan was right -- Thomas is an asshole. I'm sure Jordan did say he wouldn't play if Thomas was on it and I don't blame him. There are quotes from other players on the team that said they didn't want him on because he wasn't well liked.

Isaiah brought it on himself by being a sore looser after he and the pistons couldn't fight their way past the bulls again
  • Oh how I hate these noob YouTubers who didn't even watch Mike play, he doesn't hold a grudge over Pippen; it's Pippen who switched his stance on how he views MJ23, seems he has CTE or some other mental illness, MJ always said Pippen was his best teammate. There were reasons to hate Isiah Thomas, the "freeze-out" schemed by him, Magic and Gervin.

Isaiah Thomas has a commanding 3-1 playoff record against The Bulls & MJ. I find it ironic that MJ would call anyone an asshole when he's been on record telling Grammy Winning Black artists & I quote "I don't take pictures with no niggas". The Celtics walked off the court w/o shaking The Pistons hands in defeat, but that's never mentioned. That was the era. No one wanted to being classy after defeat in the 80s, especially rivals
