Golden Axe (Arcade) - Speedrun 6:28 [Former World Record]

I thank all the good comments, from players and fans of this great classic, but there are some things I need to say. There are some stupid comments from some idiots, saying that the game is not complete, or that I played on easy difficulty. that's a lie. Most people who say this shit don't know the game. As I've explained many times, downstab is the strongest attack in the game and it can kill the weakest enemies with just one hit. Stronger enemies or bosses require 2 or 4 downstabs. death adder needs 8. this is known throughout the golden axe community. Even playing on an advanced difficulty (hard) the only thing that changes is your amount of life and your energy bar, which is reduced. The enemies' lives do not change. To those who say "the game is not complete" this is the arcade version my friend. Only in the Genesis version do we have an extra level, inside the castle and we face Death Bringer, Death Adder's mentor. Therefore, anyone who doesn't know the game, avoid making stupid and envious comments. Don't be idiots.

This guy knew EVERY attack before it happened. The patience to let enemies walk off the edge was hilarious 👏🏼

Wow, I beat the game several times but never realised just how powerful Tyris’ downward sword attack was, take out even skeletons in one hit?!

I never knew how close I was to beating the game all those years ago.

I remember playing this all the time growing up in the 80s and early 90s. When I first beat it I was surprised and stuff, but then was sad because I realized the game was shorter than I thought. It feels like its 1 level short in the arcade version. I didnt care for the extra level added in the home version because of how exploitable all the edges and pits were. But its still fun. Good work and congrats!

I remember playing this at the corner store arcade machine as a kid. Great memories.

One of the few games that has an ending that’s worth seeing. So many of them from that era and before have very little to show.

Omg I was laughing so hard through most of this, you made it not only look like it was effortlessly done, but leading the skeletons to the edge then just kick them off hahaha made my day 😂

As a kid, my dad bought me and my sister a 386, and we found this game somewhere. We didn't understand much about computers but this was mind-blowing and tough. As kids this felt really hard, but you make it look so easy. Great job, you put a smile on this face
