PENANG, MALAYSIA - Penang is a melting pot of people and cultures, and the Indian community is strongly represented and has certainly influenced and adapted the amazing Malaysian street food of Penang. Today we’re on a mission to eat only Indian food in Penang!

Roti Canai Gemas Road (maps.app.goo.gl/QuLCwYB7wEGRnAPYA) - We have to begin our day with one of the greatest of all Malaysian Indian street food breakfasts - roti canai, and this place takes it to the next level. Price - 18 MYR ($3.84) for everything

Nasi Kandar Imigresen (maps.app.goo.gl/CtYLYLNKZR2aXpcC6) - From the last few Penang videos you already know about my love for Nasi Kandar, and on this Indian food tour there was no way we were going to miss this generations old Indian rice and curry stall. Price - 30 MYR ($6.39)

Hameed Pata Mee Sotong (maps.app.goo.gl/q6wD9DFTac53ZEvH8) - One of the more unique dishes on this tour today is mee sotong, or squid noodles, a unique combination of Indian, Malay, and even Chinese - really a taste of Penang on a plate! Price - 6 MYR ($1.28)

Ramzan Restaurant (maps.app.goo.gl/qTHPrxRrcC8m7sLr9) - This legendary restaurant is an institution in Penang and their duck curry is out of this world. Price - 22 MYR ($4.69) for everything

Penang Famous Samosa (maps.app.goo.gl/4zUVSw7DP9YErqwZ8) - Featured in the Michelin Guide, this place served delicious and fresh samosas on the corner in Little India. Price - 1.50 MYR ($0.32) per piece

Varusai Chapati (maps.app.goo.gl/6zfUR8YWAAMntjVn8) - Something simple and typically you’ll find in Penang are small tea and chapati stalls. Price - 19.40 MYR ($4.14) for everything

Penang, Malaysia is home to some of the best Indian food outside of India, but it has adapted to the local Malaysian culture.

I start to understand the pattern. After you put the food in your mouth, the longer you close your eyes the better it tastes. It is obvious that this Indian food is very delicious
