Christopher Nolan's epic space adventure INTERSTELLAR featuring an all-star cast lead by Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and MacKenzie Foy is out now on Blu-ray and DVD.

With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.

From acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight” films, “Inception”), “Interstellar” stars Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey (“Dallas Buyers Club”), Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (“Les Miserables”), Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Bill Irwin (“Rachel Getting Married”), Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn (“Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore”), and Oscar winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”). The main cast also includes Wes Bentley, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Mackenzie Foy and Topher Grace.

Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan. Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Lynda Obst produced “Interstellar,” with Jordan Goldberg, Jake Myers, Kip Thorne and Thomas Tull serving as executive producers.

Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team was led by director of photography Hoyte Van Hoytema (“Her”), Oscar-nominated production designer Nathan Crowley (“The Dark Knight”), Oscar-nominated editor Lee Smith (“The Dark Knight”), and Oscar-nominated costume designer Mary Zophres (“True Grit”). The score was composed by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer (“The Dark Knight” trilogy, “The Lion King”).

Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures present, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy/Lynda Obst Productions production, a film by Christopher Nolan, “Interstellar.”

Interstellar literally gave me a whole new perspective on life. Not exaggerating.
  • @adamcummings20
This film made me want to be either an astronaut or an astrophysicist.
  • @WheatleyOS
So.... they basically built a corn farm completely from scratch literally for the sole purpose of the movie. That is fucking epic
  • @RealCheesyBread
They made a house, ran a road to it, and planted 500 acres of corn, for this movie. That is absolutely amazing!

    Interstellar spoke to my soul
  • @youichizseiei
thats why the film feels so original, like there's no explosion sound on the space and the film location

FACT 16 : Christopher nolan & Hans Zimmer are alians for creating such a masterpiece.

Both Interstellar and The Martian have different stories. But Interstellar was far better than The Martian.

When I left the cinema. I really felt this was the best movie I've ever seen. It's intense, confusing, scary and emotional. I usually don't like sci-fi movies, but this one was so real... Of course, films like Pulp Fiction and The Godfather are maybe the best in the world, but I never felt so good after watching a film. Nolan is my favourite director, since Memento. He really is the most exciting director ever, together with writer Jonathan. His next film could probably be the best one yet, we don't know. But his movies get better en better.
  • Here's one more thing you might not know. The 67,68 rpm values used during the docking scene were not random. This scene drew inspiration from a similar situation that actually happened in the Gemini 8 Apollo mission where Neil Armstrong and crew had to recover from a roll rate of roughly ~67 revolutions per minute.
  • We watched Interstellar in physics. Whole class loved it. Thanks to our phisics teacher for giving us the opportunity to watch it.
  • @TheShattenjager
The musical score is one of the most dramatic and communicative I've ever heard. It really helps sell the sheer awe and magnitude of the concepts depicted in the film. Zimmer is among the very most talented in the world.

Nolan is a very talented and hardworking director, such an inspiration!

this is my favorite movie of all time. And i am 60 and i've seen more than thousand scifi movies. It's better than 2001, better than Planet of the Apes( with Heston). So beautiful, so moving, so clever. I didn't believe it could be possible... And i still don't get how this incredible score didn't win the oscar. Thanks so much, mister Nolan.
  • @kimvedros6011
has become one of my favorite movies.  Can't stop watching
