Good report. Argentina gets a well earned bad reputation over the aftermath of WWII, and yet, the number of Nazis that ended up in Argentina were a drop in the bucket compared to the ones that ended up living and working quietly in the US, Russia or Western Europe. This video explains all of it in great detail.

"Evil doesnt snarl and have horns. It winks and wears a tie." Nicely stated

After almost 15 minutes I realized I still have heard nothing of Argentina!

The scene in X-Men First Class where Magneto goes to Argentina to get his revenge is one of my favorite movie scenes.

It’s crazy to think that all this happened so recently in the grand scheme of things. It really wasn’t all that long ago.

Some of them even went on to get double standing ovations in the Canadian parliament

i managed a radio shack in lakewood co and a old german guy wanted a alarm system.. I went to his condo and scoped it out to install a alarm, behind a door in one of the rooms was a poster size picture of a ss officer! it was him!

Explains Argentina's history and future very well

I grew up with an SS officer living behind me, in Southern California. It was a lot more common than people realized.

My wife’s grandparents moved from West Switzerland to Chile in the end of the 40s. Them being of German descents and my wife’s family not knowing any of the history of their family back in Europe has always made me curious.

I must say, and I do not normally say a word... this is the BEST site that I have been to that tells a long story without useless information and blabbering. Great job!!

An excellent reminder that when the war is formally over, a long fight remains ahead
  • @captainsensiblejr.
They went to South America because thousands of Germans emigrated to South Amwerica since he 1890s.

Not all went to Argentina a large number of them got hired by the US government. Which I’ve never understood why wasn’t the us change in an international court for harboring war criminals..
  • This just goes to show that, you can be a deploreable person and if you have value, a government will save you, recruit you and you'll live a comfortable life.
  • @mrsillywalk
At this time, Argentina was one of the richest countries in the world.

Not only in Argentina but also in Paraguay, Southern Brazil, Chile and Bolivia. Klauss Barbi died not far from La Paz..... in the 1980's

The Paraguay Police have confirmed that they found papers from when Paraguay was a dictatorship, that Martin Bormann died in Asuncion, Paraguay. They also know who's house he was living at, in his last couple of years. They also confirmed that his body was buried in a cemetery not very far away in a town called Ita, and buried in a cemetery there. He bones had to have been shipped back to Germany as they contain soil which perfectly match the soil in the cemetery. The have the papers that also prove Dr. Josef Mengele moved to Paraguay in 1958 to treat Martin Bormann who died in 1959 to stomach cancer. That also explains why the skull of Martin Bormann had post 1950 dental work and why the chief of Scotland Yard did not believe that Martin Bormann died in Germany as stated in the autopsy report. This information is available on the internet and if confirms other witnesses reports.
  • As a matter of fact, there was a war criminal in our neighborhood. His name was John Demjanjuk, aka Ivan the Terrible. I remember when they finally tried him and won, too.
