There is something so eerie about these long shots that feel almost tranquil. You get the feeling that he's heading for them as they're telling this story through the narration of this trailer. Super well-edited! It's like "It Follows" mixed with a summertime slasher. Also, love the shot of him/them going underwater. So creepy.

From this, it seems half the film is just the camera follows him around on a nature stroll.

This is what movies supposed to look like though. Because lately everything feels too stream like. Studio, Green screen 😒

That "What are you waiting for?" 😂 Classic horror movie line.
  • The scariest walking scene for me is the one where he is walking into the dark orange sky. it just seems so unnatural someone would be walking in the middle of nowhere when its like that out.

I love the concept of following the killer for the entire film!

Reminds me of 2 movies Friday the 13th Part II ( Jason V looking just like this ) and The Town That Dreaded Sundown ( 1976 ) ( based on true events late 40s early 50s of a Killer with the same type hood )

There's something about the cinematography as shown in the trailers for this movie that's really alluring and eerie. The attention to nature and the tranquility of a forest setting being contrasted by the quiet tracking stroll of what appears to be an unstoppable hulking serial killer is pretty refreshing. You can make clear references to Friday the 13th's killer with the woods and camp setting yet this film seems to be doing something more unnerving with its camera work following the killer for long periods of his navigation that forces the audience to witness at arm's length the horrors that are about to take place. This is just the vibes that I'm getting from the trailers anyway so I can't really say how the film's gonna be. The acting doesn't seem to be promising and in fact feels like a B-Movie cast reading off lines (which I guess isn't too surprising) making me believe that In A Violent Nature will be celebrated for its visual direction and nothing else. You know what? Count me in. This is definitely going on the Watch List. Slasher films making a resurgence from the late 2010s into the 2020s has been a treat to see. Just hope we get to see more solid entries.
