Published 2024-06-29
Hi Friends!

Let's continue with using up a whole vintage book and find some more fun uses for the book pages!

In today's video we are making an easy collage masterboard, using vintage book pages and tons of scraps, as well as just a little bit of mixed media for a grungy effect.

I am also sharing with you some of my tips for how to collage and how to make collaging easy and enjoyable. Hope you will find something useful for yourself in this video or will simply have fun crafting alongside me 💖

🎥 Here is the whole playlist for the LET'S USE A WHOLE BOOK playlist:

  • Oh wow Martyna, this is fabulous, a real work of art. Those water colour pencils had such an impact. I cannot wait for part 2. x
  • Oh wow, I love the effect of the pencils - really makes the collage pieces pop! TFS 💕

The gesso blotching, coffee spritz and script stamping brought it together beutifully! Love mixed media!

I am so glad you collaged today. It is what I struggle with the most. This was a really good tutorial. I look forward to the next step. Thank you so much for sharing.

I love making masterboards, they are so much fun. I enjoyed watching you make yours💙🪻🩷
  • Hi and welcome back, and congratulations for your marriage ❤️. In past I tried to create a masterboard, but I stopped, I didn’t like the results. During this week my creatity was off, so I tried to create a masterboard again. I wasn’t able to stopped😃, this time I had good results. I made 4 or 5 pieces all with neutral colors, all bases for next tags and cards. I never started like you, with big big pieces. I like your method. Tomorrow I’ try it.
  • I absolutely LOVE this!! I feel like I need to do this right now! You are such an inspiration; thank you! I am very much looking forward to the next step when you cut it up!
  • Wow Martyna, very interesting, love it, can’t wait to see what you will do with it. I will have to try this in the future 🥰🌷❤️🌺 thank you.
  • Hello. First time watching. I like your ‘formula’ for collage. I struggle with randomness and a general guideline is helpful to get started. I am trying very hard to be more spontaneous in my crafting. I do a lot of fiber arts that follow a pattern (knitting, crochet, cross stitch). I decided to try junk journaling to use up my enormous scrapbook stash. It is also a form of therapy; self care, to ease anxiety. Currently using up a lot of book page by punching flowers, adding buttons or whatnot in the center. I like mass making ephemera. Thanks for a really fun and informative video.

  • You completely neglected your right side with a little bit of color 😉👍
