Hey Adam, Paleontologist here, your T-rex is actually more accurate withouth feathers. Irl the T-rex would only have feathers as a baby, and would eventually shead them all going into older age, much like me and my hair
  • @tlmc3257
As if a T-Rex wasn't dangerous enough... I love it!
  • @pud.art81
He looks so good! I also appreciate that you talk about remaking/repainting things as you go, these kind of things happen so often with every type of crafting but most videos cut those parts out, and it leaves you feeling incompetent comparatively. If 10 years of sewing has taught me anything, its that you will always have to tear out and redo at least one seam :p mistakes are part of the process!
  • Loved this video. Pyrosaurus Rex is a damn fine name for our little flame throwing friend.
  • @homeh_22
wow, i can’t believe your really turning 2 years old today, great job creating these sculptures at such a young age
  • @Rachel98246
Fun fact: the ‘T’ in T-Rex stands for “two gigantic flamethrowers”
  • @McItoshi
This needs to be the start of a a series with various awesome maniacal dinosaurs wielding equally awesome terrible weapons
  • The teeth with the cue tip technique is genius!! Like I know you've painted and wiped away before for aging, but specifically the cue tip would not reach those tight spots and inadvertently created perfect plaque spots!! This and many other reasons is why I watch! Clay isn't my medium but I love the technique and skill, and I can't help but want to try some out every time I watch!! <3
  • @daer0410
Love this. Not as much as my 4 year old daughter though, who for the last couple of days has asked me to watch the "dinosaur with backpack and gun" over and over again, night or day. Forget Netflix or Disney Plus, this is the real deal. Also, she wants me to make one as well, obviously.
  • @justamags
I can't think of a more perfect thing than Dave, readily weilding flame throwers, to light birthday candles with! 😀 Happy Birthday, North of the Border! You are the t.rex cosplaying a dragon that lights up my week!
  • 2:30 gotta admit, the honesty is really nice, cause that’s exactly how I am with my drawings and builds; focus bouncing around like a hyperactive artist until the final result’s done, and it turns out ok somehow.
  • As someone who read a book about dinosaurs when I was 5, I feel pretty qualified to confirm that T-rex pimples is in fact the correct term.
  • Happy 2 anniversary year anniversary Adam. with more and epic sculptures. I was hoping for Dave to hold a birthday cake but, he's seems an aggressive guy and he prefer weapons instead.
  • this sculpture is frickin SWEET straight up, perfect rendition of every toddler-to-eleven-year-old boy's fantasy toy dreams. and though i agree with helianthus photon on the skin texture in the comments, the fact that he's wielding flamethrowers tells me your biggest priority wasn't realism lol. but it came out SO COOL also, when you said t. rex shed his feathers due to them being a fire hazard, that turned out to be a solid decision. pretty sure the consensus from the sciencing people is that tyrannosaurs did not have feathers - at least, not as adults. a fossilized dilong paradoxus had a coat of tiny, almost downy protofeathers coating its body to stay warm, but it's likely they didn't need these at maturity. anyway, awesome work, man!
  • The lighter flick and T-Rex roar was just so awesome!!!!! Now I wanna go watch Jurassic Park so I can hear that roar some more. There's cool and then there's T-Rex with flame throwers cool!!!
  • @tsoddle985
T-Rex plus flamethrower equals best thing I've ever seen
  • One of the very few channels I watch consistently and actually laugh at the goofiness, thank you so much for the laughs this was another amazing sculpture, thank you.
  • @8-BallBlues
The “T-rex Pimples” would be what we refer to as Osteoderms. They’re basically hardened, bony deposits that can be found on parts of an animal, where it would usually act as armour. Tyrannosaurus, from what we know, didn’t have osteoderms. However Tyrannosaurus did have keratin that ran along its nasal (Ridge along the top of the snout) where it then turned into two round-ish horns on either side of the head, which grew above the orbit (eye socket) and Postorbital (Behind the top of the eye socket.) It has had a small spike of keratin growing on the bottom of its Jugal (Cheek).
  • absolutely fantastic. I am not even half way in and I have already learned a lot of new tricks and techniques. splendid
  • @basdejong1598
I think you forgot one crucial detail; the tubes coming from the canister nozzles, and going into the backpack.
