So Sergio stays, for now. But will he make it til the end of the season - because I'm not so sure.

  • The Mexico City GP is Round 20 this season - will he make it?
  • ‘Checo has until summer break’ ‘checo has 4 races left’ we’ve heard it too many times now. If he was going he’d be gone by now. At some point we need to accept that red bull don’t care about the constructors and are more focused on keeping max happy/sponsorship money. Checo staying though is a huge slap in the face to every single person working on that car
  • This is the last video I click on about Sergio Perez losing his seat, I will not believe it until I see it.
  • Finally someone frames this correctly. Carlos slim makes a pre Mexico exit literally IMPOSSIBLE. Could light the car on fire doesn’t matter. Not happening. It’s always been post Mexico. And even then , I’m not too sure. I doubt they’d give the middle finger to huge financial partners so long as checo is scoring. But could justify a post season replacement. Regardless his leverage disappears post Mexico.
  • @RogerNavy
Considering what they did to Albon, seems unfair to keep him, but the power of sponsors I guess
  • @CybrMyth
Redbull blundering this bad is baffling
  • I thought you said "I'd love to see Yuki get shot" instead of "I'd like to see Yuki get a shot" and I was so confused 😭😂😅
  • The only reason why i skew towards giving ricciardo the RBR seat over tsunoda is purely that Ric’s driving style is closer to Max’s. We know sergio struggles because he can’t drive like max, and we know tsunoda has a different style than Ric, so tsunoda in the RBR might be perez 2.0 where his driving style might not work.
  • I was absolutely shocked he's staying. I'm hoping that McLaren can win the constructor's championship off the back of this decision.
  • BOT not missing Q3 for 5 years is insanely slept on.
  • I think Perez and Stroll are showing that we need a new term similar to Pay Driver called Eternal Driver. No matter how terrible they are they will never lose their seat
  • The only problem with the 4 races theory is that the fifth race is Mexico. I'll be very concerned for Red bull's staff if they dismiss Checo right before the mexican GP
  • The problem with this theory is that if he continues to shit the bed in the next 4 races, then the WCC will already be gone so there is no point in sacking him and may aswell let him finish the season to get some more money. Also you said in some Baku race he finished Over 20 seconds behind Max but still finished 2nd so he did a good job. If he has ok quali he still finishes 20 seconds behind Max, the difference now is that all the other 6 drivers are in this 20 second gap.
  • @MrGoobee
You know who was the most competitive team mate Max had?! Thats right Danny Ric!!! No brainer.
  • @mithiens
clicked because the thumbnail looks like checo threw a bunch of flag-patterned socks in the air and is now waiting for them to fall down
  • RBR is feeling the pressure of instability right now. I think that's why they fear dropping Checo, I think they're getting to where Mercedes were in the twilight of their championship dominance. Lots of key figures changing hands and they're stunlocked trying to cling to what's left. I don't believe they will drop Checo for this reason.
  • Rumours are saying the Verstappens were informed Checo was gone Sunday night. Somehow they made a huge U-turn on Monday's meeting. Apparently Liberty called Red Bull and asked Red Bull to keep Checo in the fear they would have a huge loss of revenue for the Mexican GP. Insane if true.
  • @arfa9601
I think Horner respects Checo’s contributions to RedBull and didn’t want to sack him mid season. However, if Daniel keeps this level of performance he’ll be in RedBull next season and Liam sits in Blue Bulls.
