I served in the US Army for 23 years and I trained and served with Canadian troops. They are honorable and formidable warriors and thank God they are our trusted allies. God Bless Canada!

I learned on 11 September 2001, that when Canada sings "We stand on guard for thee," they mean not just themselves. We have such great neighbors and friends. Canada, this is one American who stands on guard for thee.

This should be mandatory viewing for high schools students in both Canada and the US
  • As a Canadian myself, this video always makes me cry. Thank you Mr. Brokaw for this wonderful and respectful portrait of our country. May Canada and the United States always be side by side

Canada deserves more support and acknowledgement from us Americans. We love you Canada 🇨🇦 🇺🇸

This US citizen absolutely adores Canada and Canadians. We are so lucky to have Canada as our neighbors. I love Canada! Thank you to Canada and all Canadians for being there as neighbors and friends. Bless you great people in Canada!
  • Every time I watch this, I always tear up ♥️🇨🇦🌏

Proud to be a Canadian. Proud to have the USA as a friend.
  • I am Canadian, and proud to be Canadian. Yet, over the years, I've met so many amazing Americans who'd give the shirt off their back to help you out. Just saying because, perhaps you don't like their President, doesn't mean they're all bad people.

I am Mississippi born and raised and I LOVE Canada!! The Canada and the USA are blood brothers!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Canada and USA are like the friends that constantly poke fun at each other, but as soon as anyone else does, they have each other's backs.

American here, and I'm so grateful for all of Canada's continued unwavering support, candor, kindness, and just plain reliable friendship they've shown us here in the States. I'm a big fan of singing/know all the lyrics of 'O Canada', in both French and English. Even took an in-depth Canadian History course at my university-- which now I personally think should be made part of our standard education-curriculum in American grade-schools at least. Because it's about god-damn respect, and in my opinion I find the lack of general-public knowledge/of what little IS taught here (regarding even the most basic Canada facts) unacceptable. And besides, it's interesting! THANK YOU / MERCI, CANADA for being the best neighbors we could ever ask for! --Cheers from Pennsylvania :)

My Son is a Captain, Leopard 2A6 tank commander at Canadian Forces Base in Edmonton and I live in Southern Ontario. In distance, we couldn't be further apart.Driving there would take 31 hours, so of course we fly once a year which is expensive. I miss him, his wife and my 2 grandchildren everyday. Sacrifices are part of every military family. So proud of him and so very proud to be Canadian. I've travelled to many countries in my life, but there is simply no other country like Canada in the world.
  • Loved to our sweet Canadian neighbors! May nothing ever end our good will towards one another. The heroic actions of Ken Taylor can never be forgotten. Canadian precious hospitality during 911 was a soothing balm to us all who witnessed it. Sending you nothing but the best! May you continue to shine brightly O Canada!!! 🇨🇦Hugs from 🇺🇸

When I was in the NY Guard, I had TWO different groups of Canadians come up to my squad while we were on training details and thank us for our service on two different occasions.  One group was from Quebec!  I could not believe it.  A group of people, from another country, in ANOTHER LANGUAGE (in one instance) thanking me for serving my country.  It was really cool and deeply appreciated.

Probably the most respectful American  piece I've ever seen.

On November 22 1963 i was in the 4th grade up here in Canada. When news came that JFK had been assassinated my teacher broke down in tears and went home ,we could hear other teachers just sobbing in the hallway. All the students were sent home early. From that day on i realized how close our countries are as friends and neighbours.

8 years after this has been uploaded, and it brought me to tears. Anything paying respectful tribute to Canada does every time. Our countries are so close in so many different ways, and as a United States citizen I am proud to say that, with all confidence, Canada and its people are our friends.
  • @Toneman012000
That was brilliant. As a Canadian, sometimes I take for granted what a friend we have in the USA. Roll on, America!
