[OLD] r/Bluey HATES Fanart!! ||Art Commentary Drama||

The subreddit is disgustingly toxic to art that isn’t a carbon clone of the shows style. So many people there are trying to act persecuted and oppressed over non offensive, non suggestive artwork. Some have gone as far as attempting to sexualize art from minors. If the very first thing they see is “evil scary perverse furry art” on something that is innocent, that’s on them, not for them to project it onto the artist.

I was one of the artists that just...stopped posting on the Bluey sub because of commenters. Like- I draw IN the show style pretty accurately(To the point to where people pay me to draw their OCs in the style!) and I drew my fav couple, Rad and Frisky, who are CANON. Somehow, the people on that subreddit still found a way to be mad about it by implying the couple. Which is canon. Is predatory ?? Its bizarre Another sad fact is on twitter, people are very VERY LGBT+phobic towards any Bluey art with those themes. Like, there are ppl who dislike me because I self ship with Radley as a man (Even tho I clearly still ship him with Frisky too ??) like it's. Genuinely distressing, as a gay trans man, that people in this fandom hate any fanart that is outside the "norm" so much they do This.

That’s so sad, I’m glad I didn’t discover the bluey subreddit because my art is on the furry side. I’m also happy that the discord is so much more accepting. I also have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your versions of bluey and bingo!! Some people just shouldn’t be allowed on the internet, those are no where near nsfw.

I’ve been in the furry fandom for 8 years, and I adore Bluey. One of my favorite shows, that helped me get through an extremely distressing time in my life. Seeing all the toxic gatekeeper attitudes the sub has is really sad, because not only is the art their complaining about totally SFW, but take it from me, there is no “Furry Style”, because the furry fandom draws in so many different ways. I left that sub recently because of the constant whining about any sort of fan works, and honestly pushing someone out of the sub is worse than Fanart. Good for you for giving that sub the ol’ middle finger. Your Fanart is lovely, they don’t know what they’re missing.

R/bluey permanently banned me last year for something I didn’t do. They said “it was because I spammed the words bluey sucks and greifed the subreddit”, but I literally never did that. But my Reddit account also got hacked near the time I was banned from the subreddit.

they especially hate "furry" style art work. Ive experienced this hatred in the facebook group "adult bluey fans" literally will just hate on completely SFW fanart just bc it looks "too furry". I kinda stepped away from the online community bc of this. I havent drawn Bluey myself but at this point I'm afraid to. also as for the audio issue, it happens to everyone at least once xD my advise is to make the music much quieter and then even if youre voice recording is very loud, it will balance out. great video!

The fact that Karen’s are in our world, I see nothing wrong with your art, and that’s just rude by judging people’s art style and more, why didn’t you contact Reddit about it?(if you can- I don’t have Reddit) I love your art, makes me feel happy🥺

This why I never join fandoms on reddit because it gets nasty and I remember joining the welcome home fandom and oh god the whole dox thing about clown god I remember someone getting all ugly with me and I left the reddit and just lost interest with welcome home.

The fact that there are GROWN ADULTS who are PARENTS arguing with kids and chasing them off their platform just because they can't can't see anything past ''NSFW'' is disturbing. If someone calls you a pedo just because of a lolipop drawing you put in your art, or a certain pose a character has, THEY are the problem.

I really appreciate you making this video. I was one of the artists who got to see this kind of behavior firsthand almost a year ago and I can attest that it was and still is ridiculous and disturbing. Despite the absolutely insane behavior of these users, hardly anyone on YouTube was talking about it, even other Bluey fans. So I’m glad you’re shedding light on this. I just hope more people see this and that the Bluey subreddit gets the infamous reputation outside the Bluey fanbase that it deserves

Love the topic you’re speed painting leaves me mesmerised you gave me a good laugh at 12:19 because how can a parent say that about your art!? Oh jeez I think your video could use some tweaking but enjoyable video here’s some suggestions thought of doing story time videos? As for reviews and controversies what about A.I art discussion video? Or the disastrous Warner discovery merger? That’s all I have 👍
