I bought a used C64 motherboard missing the SID, PLA and VIC II chip for £20. Lets see if it works when I put in my chip in.

Thanks for the "thanks" =D Glad you got it working! Sorry I couldn't offer more help. Still in a bad place and your air drumming (and your cat) brought a smile to my face when I was previously in tears. Yes, I am messed up right now lol! This video really helped though! Really pleased you got it working! The question now is wtf is wrong with the other board lol.

Shame your first SID was dead... Thats how many of them die, they still put out a tiny little bit of sound if you turn it all the way up.(have couple faulty ones like this myself) Glad you got your machine running again though!
