Used to drive in mountains in Colorado, California, Utah when I was teens, early 20s no fear at all. Just moved to NC and decided to take this route. I did not think I was going to make it! And, was not prepared for the tunnels :D

Takes me back to my childhood early 2000s when I see all those big rigs and the mountain scenery!! Awesome video

I REALLY needed this! My exit, was 20. Raised on Hemphill, in the Jonathan Creek community of Haywood County, and I know exactly what is off each and every exit, and under every overpass in this video. Sitting here now in Holyoke MA during this quarantine, and this really made me feel like a part of my spirit was revived. Thank you.
  • Loved the video, took me back to my high school years (80's). I grew up in Canton and have driven this section of I-40 hundreds of times. I used to camp at Harmons Den and worked on a friends farm at Fines Creek. We often ran this section of the highway WAY over the speed limit - surprised we survived. Live on the other end of I-40 now in AZ; it was nice to see "the gorge" again!!
  • Nice video...enjoyed the music and the editing...I know it took some time putting the signs in too. Thanks! I hope to make that beautiful drive sometime soon!

As someone from the area. Great videos man. What is the absolute shortest distance between Asheville and the Tennessee border. Do u know.

Very nice work on this video! Not sure how one would improve the contrast issue (better camera? tweak camera settings? choosing different time of day or diff. weather? wonder how greener spring/summer would work -- or colorful FALL!!?) How many X (times) speed-up was this? Thanks, once again, for driving, man!

No need to apologize for the glare. Thought you were going for a J.J. Abrams effect.
