  • Ryan Day was born on third base. However, he keeps getting picked off

Michigan didn't have Harbaugh, lost their best OLM and DB in the 2nd half and said " No excuses let's win" Harbaugh has developed the depth of his team all year and it paid off today.

Ohio State is not a team. Its a collection of talent. Its all about the NFL

Michigan's QB was much better than McCord. He doesn't have OSU's receivers, but he had an 80% completion percentage, extends plays with his feet.

This was Michigan's 1001st victory. In Roman it is known as MI
  • "Sometimes people that are standing on third base think they hit a triple. But they didn't." - Jim Harbaugh, Nov 27, 2021

Michigan didn't need the coach, signs and still got it done. HAIL, HAIL TO MICHIGAN!!!

This is all about player development. OSU has been blessed with 4 and 5 star talent but they fail to develop them into players that will elevate in big time games. This is where the charge of being "soft" comes in. It's not that they are soft, it's that they can't elevate to that next level when it is all on the line. Why? It comes down to coaching: coaching during the game, developmental coaching during the off-season and coaching during the season that extends the talent to another level. The difference today? Michigan's quarterback coach--he has prepared JJ McCarthy for this game and JJ has responded by growing. CJ Stroud with all his talent and ability is now getting the QB coaching he deserved to get at OSU but didn't. That's the difference. What Michigan did three years ago is it elevated its 3 and 4 star players to beat 4 and 5 star players, while OSU rested on that 5 star talent and didn't make them into "6" stars. And that has happened every year since. Change that, and you change the outcome.
  • As a M fan , I’d like to give the Ohio university credit on a hard-fought game today and wish them best of luck in the Idaho Potatoes bowl this bowl season!

The problem wasn't play calling, O line or defense. The problem was McCord. The O line improved and the D is very good. When you have a QB that panicks and doesn't see the field you lose opportunities to move the ball consistently. McCord misses lots of open receivers and panicks under the slightest pressure. The reason we only lost this one is because the rest of the team is elite. Our only hope is getting the young freshman ready or picking up a QB in the portal. If McCord is our QB next year, we'll lose to TTUN again. At that point I'll be on the get rid of Ryan band wagon

Your quarterback wasn't good enough, Penn States QB wasnt good enough either. JJ was the best QB in both those games. Thats the reason for the loss.

UM guy here. From the minute Ryan Day shot his mouth off about "hanging a hundred" on UofM in 2018, he gave us ETERNAL bulletin board material. That has NOT been forgotten. Ironically, 2018 was the last year Day won (with Urban Meyer's team's no less). That was 5- years ago. Today, Ryan Day lost to a coach who was munching on Cheetos in his PJs at home. Even God hates pride, especially unearned. How do you fire an 11-1 coach? UofM wants Day to stay at OSU. It's mental now, like Cooper. With that said, respect to OSU. I would NOT want to play them again.
  • Michigan had 9 guy's drafted to the NFL last spring and probably 13-15 next spring. This ain't rocket science. Michigan has a lot of talent.

Great game buckeyes you guys had me nervous the whole time.. love this rivalry
  • Michigan won all three phases of the game. Scored more points on offense. Two interceptions on Defense. And fieldgoal kicking and punting were excellent.

As a Wolverine, i really respect you guys and your analysis of The Game. Moreover, not harping on the "scandal ", etc. and concentrating on the 60 minutes that just took place. This was a game against Two Really Really good teams, and to look at this game for what it is, I appreciate. If it were UM that lost, id feel the same. Big Time programs have Big Time expectations. Best of luck the rest of the way.
  • @zatchg1212
McCord’s early interception was the difference. Thought Ohio state played well enough otherwise to win. McCarthy was simply better
  • @kaloncar
Instant classic! Great entertainment for the fans. Superb contest of two elite teams. Don't over analyze.

Sherrone Moore now has the same number of season wins against Top 5 opponents as Ryan Day.
