I never thought I'd see a top tennis player on the Talgarth Road, I can't lie. Great video and credit to everyone in it.

I get that people have different views, but let's not forget about the good City Harvest London is doing by giving leftover food from the tennis site to local groups. Instead of criticizing Ben, let's highlight the positive impact of this young athlete on the community.

It is good that Ben and his team agreed to diversify his life experience. An excellent eye opener about who people on the street are and were before they lost their housing. And how they are given glimpes of their old lives. Just imagine if at the end of the day, you had to figure out where you were gonna sleep outside tonight on the street and stay safe, No where to shower, brush your teeth and change clothes… a routine most humans have done since childhood and it is no longer available to you,but you see people on the strrets everyday, who still have that life and you don’t. Not only that, they now look down on you like you are only here bc you are lazy. Folks, ever go to a job interview without a shower, or clean clothes? Always be kind to your fellow human being. He or she could be you!

What an absolutely lovely program… may me so happy there are good people all over the world. I was on the BOD at the Glide Foundation in San Francisco, whose program for homeless in the tenderloin be amd a template for many programs. They fed at their height when I was there, some 6000 nomeless a week and had strong support from SF’s corporate community. Their housing, health, rehab and jobs programs were phenomenal. Few homeless were drug addicts or alcoholics before they became homeless. Loss of a job, catastophic health incident and cots, rents too high, tough situations left people without housing and having to exist on the streets led to drugs and alcohol addictions. Many of the homeless were once just like you and me.
  • When I lived in NYC, I remember when I organized the food drive for City Harvest at the company I worked for. It was a pleasure to be of service and I wish more companies would do this. City Harvest does great work with people in need.
