Hi Chris. It's true that one's surroundings influence. It is only the weak minded, however, that allow others to do their thinking for them. That is the first big hole in your thesis. The second is that being open minded and approaching a topic with a certain measure of intelligence is the only competent way to form and educated, competent opinion. I, frankly, don't see either in your premises. Hope that helps. π€¨
