In this week's video, we take a closer look at what we might be getting into with this hurricane-damaged Antares 44. Is it too much work? I think there is potential in this boat, but it will take a lot of work.

  • Tally Ho just finishes a project, Mat and Ava just start a project, how perfectly timed. Thank you.

This is one of those videos you like first, then watch…. Can’t wait for the rebuild.
  • @Malekh
This IS a huge project, but you have proved that you've got the knowledge and skills to take it on. So if you also have the time and the money, then go for it! Catamarans are cool, and I'd love to see one rebuilt.
  • Well, 1. You'd be saving a boat. 2. Viewers love seeing repairs and renovation. 3. When done you'd have great comfortable vessel and home. 😊
  • No doubt you two are capable of repairing this, but this should be a free boat at this point.

Such a big project, if there's anyone in the world that can do it, it's you Mads. Good luck, I look forward to seeing all the 'oh glorious sanding' videos.
  • @sailpac
The tourist stuff and travels were fun....but I came to your channel initially for the repairs and refit. Glad to see it back. Everyone does the travel stuff. You have a niche. And you are really good at it.
  • Looks like a great project. If I was 30 yrs younger I would love to tackle the rebuild, but I’ll just have to settle for watching you and Eva take it on! Good luck!!

Cleaning up after Brian is a project just in itself! I think he did a pretty good job with the fiberglass work he did. Get his CNC router!
  • I've ALWAYS found a good cleaning PRIOR to starting allows for building a proper plan.

I felt Mat like a tiger in a cage, going around in circles with his Athena DIY . Now, I feel the beast roar, and the sanding superman begins to impatiently show his muscles. I have no doubt that with Jane-Ava, this catastrophic jungle will become the most beautiful and technological Catamaran haha

I just have to say that I find your sheer, raw courage at taking on a project of this scale to be utterly admirable. Amazing.

I feel for Brian, live has its way of taking twists and turns. Hoping this helps him on his way to his next adventure and gets you a wonderful new build.
  • I really like you guys get the paperwork fixed quickly. I hope you get the AdSense situation figured out and fixed. I'll be honest, I'm glad you guys are going to have a massive project to work on, I'm really more of a boat building/repair channel guy rather than a sailing channel guy. I love the way you balance your channel content but I'm not so fond of others after the boats are complete.

im so glad you got a deal with bryan he worked so hard on that boat and it was sad to see him broken by the project.and personal ife. so much chances to fit modenr upgrades
  • It's a big project, but a fun one for the two of you. Stay safe, and have a fantastic week ahead
  • @jassr57
Good luck with the paperwork, looks like a huge project that I know you too can handle.👍
  • After being here for over 6 years i think you guys have the age, energy and skills to carry this out . Its massive but i will enjoy the journey with you
